Godzilla Origins & Evolutions
In 1954, the world was given one of its biggest cinematic icons in the form of Godzilla. The brainchild of producer Tomoyuki Tanaka, director Ishiro Honda, and special effects designer Eiji Tsuburaya, Godzilla was conceived as an anti-nuclear war film, a dark movie about destruction and human responsibility that would later go on to be the basis for a Saturday morning cartoon series. While the symbolism of the character might be lost on some of its later adaptations, the power of the monster is ever present throughout his 65-year history on the big and small screen!
