The Batman: What Jonah Hill Could Look Like as Penguin

New fan art for The Batman imagines what Jonah Hill could look like as the Penguin. Batman has graced the big screen a number of times over the years, but in 2021, a new Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne will be released. The film will be helmed by Matt Reeves, who's known for directing films like Cloverfield and War for the Planet of the ApesSince Batman has already been cast, people are now itching to find out which villains will be included in the Caped Crusader's next outing.

Since the villain (or villains) have yet to be confirmed, there have been many characters rumored for The BatmanWhen Ben Affleck was still attached to the project, Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke was rumored to be the villain, who first appeared in the post-credits scene for Justice League. Characters like Catwoman and the Penguin are two characters that are thought to be top contenders for The Batman, which of course would be very reminiscent of Tim Burton's 1992 Batman Returns. The Riddler is also a possible contender for Reeves' film and it was recently reportd that Warner Bros. was eyeing Hill for either the Riddler or the Penguin. Now, fans can see what Hill could look like as the latter.

After hearing the news that Hill could play one of the two characters, BossLogic is rooting for the choice of the Penguin, as depicted in his new piece of artwork. Like most versions of the Penguin, BossLogic includes the character's famous monocle, top hat, and hooked nose. BossLogic's artwork and Twitter post can be seen below:

While Hill is the most recent actor being suggested for the role of the Penguin, he certainly isn't the first. At one point, Josh Gad was rumored to be a top contender for the part, especially after he teased fans a number of times online about his involvement in the project. After much speculation, and even another piece of fan art from BossLogic, Gad confirmed that he's not playing the Penguin. Other actors rumored to be taking on the role have been Andy Serkis and Nick Frost.

Fans may associate Hill with his comedic roles thanks to films like Superbad and 21 Jumpstreet, but he's also had more serious roles in the film Moneyball and the Netflix original ManiacIf Hill was cast as the Penguin, it would no doubt be a controversial decision since most of his filmography is made up of comedic roles, although the same could've been said of Batman Returns' Danny DeVito back in 1992. That being said, Hill's background in comedy could aid The Batman, especially if the writers craft a version of the Penguin with a dark and twisted sense of humor. With the script for The Batman now complete, it's only a matter of time before fans start to hear some official casting announcements.
