10 Best Reactions To Spider-Man Being Back In The MCU

Recently, moviegoers were distraught when they found out that Spider-Man was no longer going to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe following a complicated legal battle for his rights. Fans all over the world were voicing their concern and dismay about the topic, with lots of them creating some great memes to cope with the news.

But things changed shortly after that, and Spidey swung his way back into the MCU, much to the joy of his fans. Some of their reactions to his departure were very funny, and the same is true for their reactions to his return back to the MCU. Here are some of the best reactions Twitter users had when they found out their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is back.

10 A Hilarious Text Exchange

Some of Spider-Man’s fans take the character pretty seriously, including the one who took the time to create a very funny meme that looks like a text message exchange between Sony Pictures and Kevin Feige, who is the president of Marvel Studios, as well as Disney.

This whole thing basically started because Disney wanted more money than what they had previously received from the Spider-Man films that had already been made. The studiowanted a bigger slice of the pie when it came to the third film, which is supposed to be released on July 16th, 2021, but that wasn’t going to cut it with Sony Pictures.

9 Fans Made Memes About Money

When a blockbuster film is being made, it’s all about the money for some people. This was definitely the case for the next movie in the Spider-Man series. While fans of the webslinger just want to see him on the big screen a few more times, the people who are behind the creation of the movie series seem to be a bit more focused on what they can get out of it as far as money goes, and it’s hard to blame them for that.

In the end, money talks, and the fact that Disney and Sony Pictures came to a miraculous understanding is evidence of that, as seen in this Tweet.

8 Moviegoers Loved Hearing That Spidey Is Back

After hearing that their favorite human and spider hybrid was back in the MCU, some fans made a few adorable memes to show off their love for the webslinger. Previously, those who enjoyed the Spider-Man films with actor Tom Holland in them were really enraged about the whole ordeal between Sony Pictures and Disney, and some comments that Tony Vinciquerra, Sony Pictures’ CEO and chairman, did not make things any better.

He basically claimed that they didn’t really need Feige to work on future Spider-Man movies in order for them to be a success. “We tried to see if there’s a way to work it out…The Marvel people are terrific people, we have great respect for them, but on the other hand, we have some pretty terrific people of our own. Kevin didn’t do all the work,” said Vinciquerra.

7 Daredevil Should Get Involved

Some Marvel fans think that Matt Murdock should be a part of any movies that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be in in the future. That probably won’t happen, but it is certainly a cool thing to imagine.

Lots of fans were very upset when they learned that news that Daredevil had been taken off of Netflix at the end of 2018. That show was pretty good, so the fact that it was cancelled came as a bit of a surprise to Marvel fans everywhere. Seeing Matt (and Daredevil) make an appearance in an upcoming Spider-Man movie would be really awesome.

6 Spidey’s Return Put Lots Of People In Good Moods

Movie fans everywhere were incredibly delighted to learn that Peter Parker would still be involved in future Marvel movies, and some of them posted some pretty great reactions to that news on Twitter. But one of the funniest and most exciting reactions to it came from none other than Holland himself.

After the news broke that Sony Pictures and Marvel had reached a deal, Holland took to social media to share a clip from the film The Wolf Of Wall Street. In the clip, actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who played Jordan Belfort, can be seen informing a bunch of people that he’s not going anywhere.

5 Someone Even Made A SpongeBob SquarePants Meme About It

Some of the people who are fans of Spider-Man are also big fans of SpongeBob SquarePants, so of course they made some SpongeBob memes about the webslinger and the drama between Marvel and Sony. Some fans of the film series created memes about SpongeBob coming back, as if he were Spider-Man making his way back into the MCU.

That’s because Spidey’s return was a huge shock to a lot of people. Many moviegoers were under the impression that Sony would be handling any upcoming Spider-Man films themselves from here on out, but they were worried about it because that company doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to movies about Spider-Man.

4 Thanos Is In Some Funny Memes

The Avengers (including Spider-Man) defeated Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, but that doesn’t mean Thanos has not popped up in a couple of memes after his death in the films, since some fans have used him to create some memes about Spider-Mans’ return.

Some Marvel fans have even went as far as turning scenes from the last Avengers film into hilarious jokes that are centered around the issues between Marvel and Sony Pictures. In the clip, Tony Stark (Iron Man) is supposed to represent Sony, while Steve Rogers (Captain America) represents Sony. That actually makes a lot of sense when one considers the fact that Stark was very close with Parker.

3 Maybe Sony Can’t Do It Alone

At least one fan of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man created a hilarious meme that suggested that Sony can’t handle Spider-Man on their own. That is funny, but it also seems to be true, at least in some ways.

Those who have been watching the goofy, web-slinging superhero on the big screen for a long time might recall that Sony has not always had the best of luck when it comes to this character. Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, which came out in the early 2000’s, were great. But the third one was not very popular, and even though a fourth movie was supposed to happen, the plans for it were scrapped.

2 Spider-Man Might Be Back, But Something Else Is Coming To An End

Just as fans were rejoicing over the fact that Spider-Man is back in the MCU, they learned that BoJack Horseman will be ending soon. Nothing lasts forever, but it’s still hard for fans to see some of their favorite shows coming to an end.

Recently, Netflix announced that the show would be coming to an end after its’ sixth season. Another interesting fact about the series is that the last season of it will actually come in two parts. On October 25th, 2019, the first part of the season will be added to the streaming service. The second part will be added at the end of January 2020.

1 Tom Hiddleston Is In Some Memes As Well

While some fans reacted to the most recent news about Spider-Man and the MCU by creating memes that featured Iron Man, Captain America, and Thanos, others created some that featured the actor who is most known for portraying Loki, Tom Hiddleston. Hiddleston looks pretty excited in this meme, which is exactly how all of Holland’s fans probably felt before they breathed a collective sigh of relief when they heard he will be a part of Marvel movies again.

But Holland is not the only one who is currently working on something exciting. Some people believe that Hiddleston might be featured in the upcoming live-action remake of Hercules.
