The Bachelorette fan-favorite Tyler Cameron reveals how he and the other Bachelorette contestants stayed in shape while filming for the show. Even though the Bachelorette mansion has it all, it doesn't have a gym. Tyler explains that he and the boys had to get creative to make sure their physique stayed camera ready.
Cameron was one of the contestants vying for Brown's heart on the latest season of The Bachelorette. He made it to top two before Brown broke the news to him during his proposal speech that he wasn't the one, then went off and accepted Jed Wyatt's proposal. Even though his time on The Bachelorette didn't bring him home a finacée, he did, however, get the millions of viewers' attention for his respect for women and of course his abs. The athletic model and contractor, who played four years of college football at Wake Forest and Florida Atlantic University and had a brief stint with the Baltimore Ravens, had a killer body before coming on the show.
All of the other contestants also vying for Hannah B.'s heart had to figure out how to maintain their rock hard bodies in order to put themselves above the rest. During an Interview about nutrition and fitness to GQ, Tyler broke down how it's really like to live and most importantly - work out - while living in the Bachelorette mansion and while traveling all over the world. The interviewer asked, "In the barbell-free zone that is the Bachelor mansion, how does a group of 30 extremely fit people cope?" In which Tyler's reply was, "It's a makeshift, do-what-you-can situation."
Since there is no gym in the mansions, Tyler gave some insights about how they would make do without weights or machinery. He said, "We'd run around wherever we were." However, when they weren't in the mansion and being jetted around to exotic places all over the world, they had to stay in hotels. Tyler said it worked in their favor for working out, saying, "Some hotels had pools, and we'd go and swim." He continued, "Some guys brought resistance bands, so there was a lot of band work." It seems that the contestants had to get creative, he said, "We even started picking up the sandbags they used for the cameras, and lifted those as weights."
All Bachelorette fans know that it is vitally important to have men with rock hard bodies cast on the show. As a prerequisite, it would make sense that the show would provide everything necessary for the contestants to stay in tip-top shape, however, Tyler's perspective makes it clear that it's not the reality. It seems that desperate times called for desperate measures and fans can agree that the men's creativity kept them in shape enough to have all of the Bachelorette fans drooling at home.
