Justice League Zack Snyder & Cast Demand #ReleaseTheSnyderCut

Zack Snyder and his Justice League cast have joined the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement on Twitter. Snyder founded what would eventually become the DC Extended Universe in 2013 with Man of Steel, which was set to be the beginning of a five-film plan. Justice League was originally envisioned to be the middle chapter in this saga, but Snyder never had the opportunity to complete it after leaving the film in early 2017.

Despite claims that the movie hitting theaters was still close to what Snyder intended, the changes to Justice League quickly became apparent. This led to a great amount of support for Snyder's version of Justice League - now known as the Snyder Cut - to be released. Snyder has kept interest in his version alive by sharing images on the social media app Vero, but the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement has taken on a life of its own on Twitter.

In the midst of the campaign's biggest push yet coinciding with the two-year anniversary of Justice League's theatrical release, Snyder and several cast members have taken to Twitter to help push #ReleaseTheSnyderCut forward. We previously shared Gal Gadot's Snyder Cut endorsement, but now Snyder himself has quoted what she said, while Ben Affleck and Ray Fisher have joined the trending topic too. Additionally, Suicide Squad director David Ayer voiced his support.

With Snyder, Gadot, Fisher, and Affleck joining the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut push just today, all eyes have turned towards the rest of the cast. Jason Momoa has been incredibly vocal in support of Snyder's original vision, so there is no question whether he wants it to be released or not. Ezra Miller has not commented much about the Snyder Cut and isn't active on social media, making his own comments on the matter unlikely. As for Henry Cavill, he's doubted the impact of the Snyder Cut in the past and many fans are now looking at his Instagram page to see if he shares the hashtag as well.

Even before the support from Snyder and his cast, #ReleaseTheSnyderCut became a trending topic on Twitter through the outpouring of tweets from fans. Despite all of the attention the Snyder Cut has commanded over the last week, though, it remains to be seen when (or if) any announcement about a release will come. At the moment, what is clear is that the cast is rallying behind Snyder two years after Justice League's release to try and convince Warner Bros. the world deserves see the Snyder Cut, and based on the interest the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement has created, it will now be up to the studio to figure out if releasing the Snyder Cut is something they want to do.
