Cats: 10 Other Movies to Watch with the Main Cast | ScreenRant

While there have been some pretty mixed reviews about this live-action musical, it's safe to say that we are still in love with every single cast member that participated in this project. While some of them are best known for singing, others for talk shows, and others for acting, they all bring versatile and incredible talents to this flick.

In case Cats didn't give you enough of this brilliant crew, we thought we'd make a list of movies to binge with this stellar cast. In case you need more of these show-stopping celebrities, here are 10 movies to watch with these furry cast members.

9 Idris Elba - Beasts of No Nation (2015)

Idris Elba is everyone's favorite heartthrob, and he plays Macavity in this furry film. This movie, on the other hand, is a stellar Netflix Original that tells the story of a Agu, a child soldier who is enlisted to fight in a civil war in Africa.

This movie is tragic but stunning, and we definitely think it's worth your time for more of this man (and an incredible story). Of course, we also suggest taking a look at The Mountain Between Us, Molly's Game, and all of the Marvel flicks he plays Heimdall in. There's nothing Idris can't do.

8 Taylor Swift - The Giver (2014)

We know that Taylor Swift is an absolute queen in the music industry, and she has A LOT of soundtrack credits in Hollywood. Still, she does have a few acting credits to show for her career, and this is one that we think is the best. She plays Rosemary in this drama flick, which is a smaller role, but this movie is still worth your time.

Based on the novel by Lois Lowry, this movie tells the story of a young man who uncovers secrets in a seemingly perfect community, where everyone's roles are destined. Of course, Taylor absolutely slays as Bombalurina in this furry musical, and her vocals are always shining. Seriously, go download her original track right now.

7 Ray Winstone - The Departed (2006)

Ray Winstone is totally underrated, but he plays Growltiger in this musical. Of course, his role in the crime drama is a much different one. In The Departed, an iconic Scorsese directed film, he plays Mr. French. Alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, and Matt Damon, this thriller will totally give you your crime fill.

However, this man has over 100 acting credits to his name, so if you really love him, we also suggest checking out Hugo, Snow White and the Huntsman, Noah, and Point Break.

6 Judi Dench - Skyfall (2012)

Judi Dench is a queen, and this legend plays the role of Old Deuteronomy in Cats. While she has many acting credits, this is one of our favorites. She plays M in this James Bond flick, but this lady has been crushing the big screen for a while.

Of course, we suggest this one, because who doesn't want this bombshell alongside Daniel Craig as 007? If you really love this leading lady, you can also find her in Notes on a Scandal and Shakespeare in Love.

5 James Corden - Ocean's Eight (2018)

This comedy crime flick is the newest installment of this franchise and stars a whole cast of strong and brilliant women. Of course, this hilarious man plays John Frazier, the detective on the case. Alongside Sandra Bullock and this amazing group of ladies, James Corden is absolutely brilliant.

If you loved him as the furry, Bustopher Jones, check out this film. Also, you can find him in Yesterday, which just came out in 2019. Obviously though, James Corden has our whole hearts as a late-night talk show host.

4 Rebel Wilson - Pitch Perfect (2012)

Pitch Perfect is certainly the flick that put Rebel on our radars. She is absolutely hilarious as Fat Amy, and you can't pass up her singing, humor, and dancing. Of course, she's equally brilliant as Jennyanydots in Cats, and we think this comedy film will also fill all your musical needs.

If you love this gal as much as we do, you can also catch her in Bridesmaids, How to Be Single, and Isn't It Romantic. Clearly, she's quite the comedic and quirky gal, but we all already knew that.

3 Mette Towley - Hustlers (2019)

This actress has two credits under her belt, and this is the other movie to her name. Of course, she's up and coming, and we expect to see more from her soon. In Cats, she plays Cassandra, but in this comedy crime drama, she plays Justice.

This movie follows a group of ladies, who are employed at a strip club, and start to turn the tables on their rich Wall Street clients. For some lady power, we suggest checking out this flick. Plus, it's certainly more of this talented lady dancing.

2 Jennifer Hudson - Winni Mandela (2011)

Jennifer Hudson is clearly better known for her soundtracks, but if you love her as an actress, you can check out this biography history drama. This flick tells the life story of Winnie Mandela from her childhood, her marriage, to her husband's incarceration.

She stars alongside Terrence Howard, and this movie is certainly where Jennifer shines. Of course, we loved her as Grizzabella in the Cats musical, and her voice is always blowing us away. So, we're always craving more of her talent.

1 Ian McKellen - The Lord of the Rings

Ian McKellen is certainly a legend, and it's safe to say that it was nearly impossible to pick his best flick. So, you can just watch the entire LOTR series, where he plays the iconic and powerful Gandalf. This man has stolen all of our hearts, and almost every kind of nerd knows who this brilliant man is.

He definitely threw a curve-ball to his fans by playing Gus the Theatre Cat, but there's nothing he can't do! Of course, if you love him, you'll know he's also Magneto in the X-Men franchise, but we know that Gandalf is way cooler. Cats and wizards are all we ever need, right?
