Harry & Meghan Spent Christmas in $14M Vancouver Island Mansion

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent their first Christmas with their son Archie in Canada away from the drama with family back in England. It was revealed that Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and baby Archie spent the holiday in a $14 million dollar Vancouver Island mansion on a private estate.

Markle was a budding actress when she began her relationship with Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, back in June 2016. She was set up on a blind date by a mutual friend and the two immediately hit it off. Their engagement was announced on November 27th, 2017 and announced that she would retire from acting and became a British citizen. She and Harry were married on May 19th, 2018 at Windsor Castle. Just a year later, on May 6th, 2019, Markle became a mother for the first time when she gave birth to seventh in line to the English throne, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, who is now 8-months-old. It was revealed that the royal family was to spend the Christmas holiday in Canada, as it was one of the places that Markle and Harry spent time as a new couple and it held sentimental value. Although the Queen allowed it, it was revealed that she was disappointed that Archie's first Christmas wouldn't be spent with the rest of the family.

The Daily Mail revealed exactly where the family celebrated Christmas and where they are staying in Canada. It was revealed that the family of three spent their time on a $14.1 million dollar estate that is owned privately by a mystery millionaire. The property is located on Vancouver Island which has a waterfront mansion that hosts two private beaches. The 11,416 square foot luxury mansion, designed in a French country style, has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Also on the property is a 2,349 square foot guest cottage with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The royal family of three spent time with Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, in the beautiful home on the four-acre property. It seems that this family The royals have been receiving the royal treatment with the beautiful property as well as high-end security at every turn. By December 19th, locals noticed temporary fences being erected at the property for privacy and now the property is swarming with security guards.

It seems that this family is spending the last week of 2019 in luxury at this 14.1 million dollar property. Though some royal fans were upset with Markle for making the decision of going to Canada for Archie's first Christmas, it seems that this was the best decision for her and her family.
