MCU: 10 Villains We Want To See In Phase 4 | ScreenRant

Though we'll have to wait a little longer than expected for Phase 4 of the MCU to finally kick-off, fans have plenty of exciting projects to look forward to in the coming years. This new chapter in the MCU promises to bring back some old favorite heroes as well as introduce plenty of new ones. But, as always, every good hero needs a good villain.

We already know Phase 4 will see the return of Baron Zemo as well as the real Mandarin, but there are plenty of baddies coming that we don't know about. With Marvel's extensive roster of bad guys to choose from, there are a lot of really fun possibilities. Here are some of the villains we want to see in Phase 4 of the MCU.

10 Absorbing Man

With the launch of Disney+, the MCU now has a platform to launch series that fully connect to the movies. This means some of the characters who appeared on previous Marvel shows could be brought into the proper MCU, such as Absorbing Man.

Absorbing Man is a villain with the ability to change his body into any material he touches. The character appeared on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. yet her seems like he would be an ideal match for She-Hulk in her upcoming series. That could make for some very fun action sequences.

9 Fin Fang Foom

Shang-Chi is one of the most exciting new heroes to be joining the MCU in Phase 4 and we already know that he will be facing off with the real version of Mandarin in his solo film. However, there is another imposing villain who could fit into this story as well.

Fin Fang Foom is an ancient alien dragon and a classic villain from Marvel comics. Though the character might seem a little farfetched, the MCU seems more than willing to embrace the weirdness of their stories recently. Fin Fang Foom could be used as Mandarin's secret weapon in the film.

8 Gorr

Ever since Christian Bale became attached to Thor: Love and Thunder, fans have been eagerly speculating as to which role he could play. After it was confirmed that he would be playing the film's villain, one of the most popular guesses has been Gorr the God Butcher.

Gorr is a more recent creation in the comic books but has quickly proven himself to be one of the most formidable of Thor's villains. He also has a complex backstory as someone who is resentful towards the all-powerful gods who do not use their powers to help the less fortunate. Bale could really make Gorr an unforgettable villain.

7 Enchantress

Enchantress is another Thor villain who has yet to appear in the live-action films. Enchantress is an incredibly powerful sorceress capable of illusions, manipulations and all kinds of mischief. While she is usually seen doing battle with Thor, she might be better suited to face off with his brother instead.

Loki will be getting his own Disney+ series, so of course, he will need an antagonist worthy of taking him on. Loki and Enchantress have actually been allies in the past and perhaps that history could be explored with her in the villain role.

6 Agatha Harkness

One of the biggest mysteries of Phase 4 of the MCU is WandaVision. The Disney+ series finds Wanda and Vision reuniting after their tragic end, yet it's obvious something very strange is going on. The show looks to be a trippy take on various sitcom shows which could be a lot of fun.

But even with the sitcom setting, the show obviously needs a villain and Agatha Harkness has been rumored as the show's big bad. Kathryn Hahn has joined the show reportedly to play a nosy neighbor, but some speculate she is actually Harkness, a sorceress, who is possibly manipulating Wanda's mind.

5 Scorpion

The MCU's take on Spider-Man seems to be intent on giving us villains we have yet to see on the big screen, like Vulture and Mysterio. Another classic Spidey villain fans have been waiting to see is Scorpion and perhaps the third film will finally deliver on this beloved baddie.

The character was sort of introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming, with Michael Mando playing Mac Gargan. However, it would be nice to see Mando get the chance to don the costume and play the real version of Scorpion.

4 Kang The Conqueror

Now that Thanos has been defeated, fans are wondering who the next big bad of the MCU will be. One of the most popular choices is Kang the Conqueror, a time-traveling madman who is certainly powerful enough to take on the Avengers by himself.

There are a lot of projects in which Kang could be introduced, thanks to his time traveling element. Loki, WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness all seem like they could tease his existence before the next team-up movie.

3 Namor

Namor is one of the most complex characters in the Marvel Universe and it would be great to finally see him make his MCU debut. While Namor is often seen as a hero, he has been a villain to many of Marvel's biggest heroes. That feels like a fitting way to introduce the character here.

One of the heroes Namor has most notably tangled with is Black Panther. It has yet to be confirmed whether Black Panther 2 is part of Phase 4 or not but Namor does seem like an interesting villain to bring into the story before he finds redemption as a hero.

2 Nightmare

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is another weird project that has fans very excited. The sequel promises to embrace some of Strange's more horror-centric elements and deliver a scary MCU film. In that sense, Nightmare would be a perfect villain for the film.

Nightmare is the ruler of the dream dimension and can manipulate the dreams of his victims. With Sam Raimi taking over directing duties for this film, the possibilities of what he could do with such a character are endless.

1 Kraven The Hunter

We've seen so many classic Spider-Man villains make it to the big screen but one of his most beloved foes has yet to get that opportunity. Kraven the Hunter is a formidable and fascinating villain that fans are dying to see in a live-action film.

Kraven is a big game hunter who targets Spider-Man as the ultimate prey to capture. Given that the next film will likely see Spider-Man on the run, this seems like the right opportunity to finally bring Kraven into the MCU.
