Bob takes a lot of pride in his restaurant and culinary skills, and one well-known and creative way he promotes his daily burger specials is to give them "punny" names. Besides just naming the burgers, there are a few other instances where Bob's witty puns make an appearance. Here are 10 of Bob's best puns, including burger names and more.

10 It's Only Sourdough Burger (But I Like It)

This burger, which includes a sourdough bun, made its appearance in season 4, episode 14, a pun of The Rolling Stones' track "It's Only Rock and Roll (But I Like It).

In this episode, Bob and Linda attend a burger convention with other restauranteurs who were all members of an online forum. After Bob and Linda are snubbed by the other attendees, Bob realizes that the jokes he had been posting on the forum came off as insulting, and he tries to explain himself. But it backfires and the other attendees only hate him more. Eventually, Bob and Linda dump condiments into the hot tub to get back at them for complaining to management, which resulted in them getting kicked out of the hotel.

9 Poblano Picasso Burger

The Poblano Picasso burger, of course, named after the artist Picasso, is from season 1, episode 8. Fans who re-create the burger usually use other peppers, like jalapeños, and tomatillos, along with the poblano peppers.

In this episode, Bob gives this burger special an art-related pun name because of the art crawl event happening in town. To Bob's dismay, during the crawl, the restaurant has become home to paintings from Linda's sister Gayle, each one featuring an animal's butt.

8 Gourdon-Hamsey Burger

This burger, named after Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen host Gordon Ramsay, includes both squash (gourd) and ham. This special was featured in season 4, episode 5, "Turkey In A Can."

Bob's Thanksgiving meal plans become self-sabotaged when he begins sleepwalking from taking allergy medicine to combat his allergies to Gayle's cats. As he sleeps, he dumps the Thanksgiving turkey into the toilet, spoiling his plans for a three-day brining process. By the time Bob realizes that he's been the one stealing the turkeys in his sleep, it's already Thanksgiving and he's left without a turkey, but he has a tender moment with Tina who tells him that she will always be her little girl, even after she's grown up.

7 Eggers Can't Be Cheesers Burger

A breakfast burger with a fried egg and cheese, this special is from season 3, episode 11. This particular burger is popular and many fans of Bob's Burgers and burger enthusiasts have created and cooked their own Eggers Can't Be Cheesers.

This episode revolves around a new nude beach that has popped up in town. Bob becomes happy when he realizes the pesky health inspector and Linda's ex-fiance, Hugo, abandons his job to become a nudist.

6 "Spiceps"

The Spiceps are a ridiculous invention that Bob revisits in season 3, episode 16. Linda isn't immediately impressed and comes up with her own version of the invention, The Spice Rack, which she claims is easier to use. Not to be outdone, Bob tries to get Louise, Gene and Tina to tell him which invention is best, unsuccessfully.

Frustrated by their kids' refusal to take sides, both Linda and Bob spend the remainder of the episode competing against each other over their spice inventions.

5 "You Can Call Me BobCephela"

Season 4, episode 17 found Bob in an interesting scenario in which he infiltrated a Brony-type group of older men who were fans of the Equestranauts, a TV show, and a line of toys featuring ponies.

Calling themselves "Equesticels," each of the men had names relating to the Equestranauts characters. Tina helps Bob come up with BobCephela, which is a pun name of the character Bucephala, in order for Bob to get close with the Equesticels and steal back Tina's toy pony.

4 "You Can't Tail Me What To Do"

This pun comes from season 4, episode 2, when Linda and Bob are working on a Halloween costume for Gene, Louise, and Tina, a lengthy dragon costume that they can all wear at the same time.

While Linda hurriedly glues sequins onto the dragon costume before the kids get back to the restaurant, Bob isn't taking things too seriously. Linda gets frustrated when she realizes both she and Bob are working on the tail of the dragon. Bob tells her, "No, you said 'Bob do the tail.' I know because I remember thinking, you can't tail me what to do."

3 "What's That, Nagatha Christie?"

A throwback from season 1 episode 2, "Crawl Space," Bob calls Linda 'Nagatha Christie' after tensions arise between them and Linda's mother, Gloria.

Bob pretends to be stuck within the walls of the restaurant and house in order to avoid Linda's parents. Soon after this exchange, Linda catches on to the fact that Bob might not be stuck against his will (until he is), and Bob worries that Linda is becoming more and more like her mother the longer she stays, who nags everyone around her, including Bob's customers.

2 "I Though We Decided On Period Piece"

While Tina and Louise attend a boy band concert in "Boyz 4 Now," Bob and Linda attend a table-setting (or table-scaping) competition that Gene is participating in. Bob becomes ultra-competitive and he and Linda jump to help Gene when he qualifies for the next round.

When it's revealed that Gene was unprepared for a second round of table-scaping, they decide to improvise with the contents of Linda's purse. Using some pads, tampons, and packets of jam Gene presents his "Menstru-rant", which Bob wanted to name "Period Piece."

1 "I'm Literally Grasping At Straws!"

Puns are jokes that exploit different meanings of words or phrases, and the phrase "grasping at straws," which is often used to describe people who are desperate to save themselves, takes on a new meaning in season 3, episode 6.

A diesel-fueled mechanical shark begins terrorizing the town by flopping and snapping down the street after Tina, Louise and Gene try to cut off its fin for mechanical shark fin soup. The shark ends up underground and bursts up through the restaurant floor, practically on top of Teddy, Mort, and Bob. Bob yells out this quote as he reaches for a box of straws, trying not to fall into the shark's mechanical jaws.
