Ferenia is a region in Metroid Dread that contains a variety of items to collect, including energy parts. Energy parts are items that players can acquire to increase Samus' maximum health. Energy tanks can be obtained by collecting and combining four energy parts. In Ferenia, players can find four energy parts to combine and permanently increase their health by 100.
Increasing Samus' health will help players take on the game's more difficult opponents, but finding the items can be challenging. Some of the energy parts are only obtainable with certain upgrades or abilities, and others will have players solving a puzzle to collect them. There are many powerful enemies in Metroid Dread that make energy parts a very valuable collectible.
To collect the energy parts in Ferenia, players will need Metroid Dread's morph ball, shinespark, grapple beam, jump space and cross bombs. These upgrades can be obtained at various points throughout the game, and the energy parts will not be able to be acquired until players have the right abilities. Ferenia has four parts to find, and each one presents a unique challenge with varying difficulty. Ferenia's energy parts are scattered around the area, and players will need to traverse this region to find them all.
Metroid Dread has a variety of challenges, including reaching Dairon from Cataris or collecting every energy part and energy tank to maximize Samus' health. For each of the energy parts in Ferenia, players will need to use upgraded abilities and weapons. The four energy parts can be found and collected as follows:
- Energy Part 1: Southeast of the Ferenia save station, players can find an energy part by going to the right of the ledge it's under and using a morph ball bomb to reach it.
- Energy Part 2: Head to the elevator that leads to Dairon in the southern part of Ferenia. Spin jump to the tunnel at the top of the room to grab the energy part.
- Energy Part 3: Players will need to use the speed booster, then shinespark to reach the energy part near the west elevator. Speed boost to the left, then slide under the wall and jump to the ramp with the speed boost still active. Use shinespark to jump right to the next ramp, then store it again and use it on the speed booster blocks to reach the energy part on the left.
- Energy Part 4: Near the center of Ferenia there is a puzzle to solve in the room with a storm missile box and energy recharge station. Next to the station, use screw attack to jump up to the breakable blocks on the left side. Quickly drop a cross bomb between the bomb blocks while avoiding the pitfall blocks. Break the screw attack boxes and grapple beam to the block on the right side, then use a morph ball bomb to open up the path to the energy part.
Collecting every energy part in Metroid Dread can take some time, but they're worth obtaining to increase Samus' maximum health. Players will need a lot of health to defeat bosses and enemies like the E.M.M.I. There are four parts in Ferenia to find and obtain using a variety of Samus' abilities. Metroid Dread features many collectible items and upgrades to discover throughout the game.
