Cruel Summer Main Characters Ranked Least To Most Likely To Win The Squid Game

From the very first episode of Cruel Summerit feels like Jeanette Turner is playing a manipulative game, trying to win a lawsuit that it seems like she should lose. But as viewers watch more episodes, there is a lot that they don't know about Kate Wallis's disappearance. Since Jeanette and Kate are battling each other, what would happen if they joined the Squid Game?

The main characters on this popular teen mystery, which discusses subjects like truth, memory, family, and friendship, would try hard in the Squid Game. But only some characters would be masterful players who would strategize and figure out how to excel at each game.

10 Cindy Turner

Cindy isn't one of the most likable Cruel Summer characters as she leaves her family during Jeanette and Kate's legal battle, making fans wonder if she even cares about her daughter. But while she seems to know that something weird is going on and she doesn't trust Jeanette fully, she seems too caught up in appearances to do well in the Squid Game.

Cindy would let her nerves and emotions get the best of her during "Red Light, Green Light" and would get too concerned and think too hard. It's tough to see Cindy getting much further and she might be the first player to get killed.

9 Greg Turner

Jeanette's father Greg has no idea how to cope when his daughter gets caught up in Kate's disappearance, and it seems like he would be too preoccupied with the sad state of his family to win the Squid Game.

Greg seems like a passive person who lets things happen to him instead of being determined, active, and coming up with a strategy. It's hard to picture this Cruel Summer character doing well and winning each deadly children's game. He would also get really upset about watching other plays die and that would affect him too greatly.

8 Derek Turner

Jeanette's brother Derek shows her kindness even when the whole town blames her for what happened to Kate, and he's got a much calmer and happier personality than the rest of the character. He's excited to go away to college and find some room between him and his family.

While Derek is sweet and smart, he doesn't seem like he could come up with a strategy to win the Squid Game, and he might be too sensitive and caring to see so many people die. He wouldn't win "Red Light, Green Light."

7 Jamie Henson

Of the most suspicious Cruel Summer characters, Jamie is problematic, punching Jeanette and stalking her. While at first he seems like Kate's perfect boyfriend, he's anything but.

As Jamie would form alliances with other players, he would get farther than some of the other characters, but after a while, they would realize that he's not as nice as he seems and start turning on him. Jamie would quickly realize that others are much smarter than him and it seems like he would lose the marble game.

6 Ashley Wallis

Kate's stepsister Ashley is one of the most intelligent people in Skylin, and as a smart and ambitious young person, she would want to win money. Since Ashley is such a kind person, it's easy to imagine her donating some cash to charity and helping others.

But while Ashley would have good intentions and she would be motivated to win, she is so caring that it would be tough to see what's really going on, and all the destruction and death around her could really affect her.

5 Martin Harris

As the villain of Cruel Summer, Martin does what he wants and really doesn't care who he hurts.

Martin would have his fellow players fooled, believing that he's a good person to form an alliance with, and he's cunning and cruel, which would help him move forward. Some others would likely outsmart Martin, though, and he wouldn't get to the very end of the game.

4 Vince Fuller

Vince is a fan favorite Cruel Summer character thanks to his kindness, intelligence, and perception.

Vince shows people compassion even when others would say not to and he can figure out the truth about people pretty quickly, which would be a useful skill in the Squid Game. Vince can seem quiet and shy, but that would help him, too, as he would hang back and figure out how to win while everyone else was worrying and terrified.

3 Mallory Higgins

Many Cruel Summer fans can tell that Mallory knows something important, and in the season 1 finale, she admits that she did see Kate in Martin's house... with a catch: she didn't realize that it was Kate.

Mallory feels like an outsider and is used to having other people judge her, and she would be able to make it through much of the Squid Game since she really doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. It's easy to see Mallory winning most of the games. She would at least have an interesting strategy for the glass bridge, but it might not go that well for her since that's one of the toughest and trickiest parts.

2 Kate Wallis

The best Reddit Cruel Summer fan theories revolve around what happened to Kate, and by the time viewers know the full tragic story, it's even worse than anyone thought.

As the most popular girl at school, Kate knows that people like her, but she's much smarter than people give her credit for. Kate would strategize well and she might team up with Mallory, and like during the court battle, she would think that Jeanette is her number one enemy to beat.

1 Jeanette Turner

Based on Jeanette's big surprise at the end of season 1, Jeanette would definitely win the Squid Game. Marbles, honeycomb, "Red Light, Green Light" and even a glass bridge would be nothing for this young adult who fooled everyone and made them think that she was innocent.

Jeanette is equal parts manipulative and intelligent, and she manages to get people to feel sorry for her and believe her, even if they previously weren't so sure about her. Jeanette can play the long game and come out on top.
