The Family Chantel: Winter Reveals Smiling Pic After Ending Her Engagement

Winter Everett faced a difficult episode on The Family Chantel season 3 this week, as the younger sister of Chantel Jimeno saw her relationship with Jah coming to a close after over seven years of dating and raising Jah’s daughter together. A tearful Winter arrived at the home of her parents, Karen and Thomas, and enlisted her father and brother Riverknight as help for collecting her belongings from her older partner. Though Winter and Jah appear to have ended things for good on the 90 Day FiancĆ© spin-off show, Winter is all smiles on social media.

Jah recently proposed to Winter on The Family Chantel, which made their off-camera split a surprise to viewers. Winter explained to her family that Jah asked her to leave after he brought up the subject of polygamy and Winter expressed that she did not want to have that kind of a relationship. Winter also explained that her religious boyfriend had gotten very controlling and often spoke to her of the role he thought women should follow in marriage and society. Winter voiced that she did not like the way Jah spoke to her, and she realized that she deserved more respect in her relationship. This ultimately resulted in Jah telling Winter to leave and her returning to her family.

After Monday’s night’s episode revealed Winter’s breakup, she took to her Instagram page @winterckyler to share an image of herself. The photo featured her beaming in a full-body image outside as she showed off her weight loss progress. "It’s OK to have fun and be a little childlike sometimes! #letsgo #transformation #free," Winter captioned the happy image that also featured a photo of her past weight. While many Family Chantel fans have supported Winter during her public weight loss, she also has many supporters during her breakup. Among Winter's fans is her younger brother, Riverknight, who always hypes his sister up. "This fit though!!šŸ‘€šŸ’ŖšŸ½ ok you had to do it," Riverknight commented.

Winter's post saw her receiving an outpouring of praise from her followers, who were thrilled to see Winter living her best life and seemingly shining on her own apart from Jah. "Wow congrats to ya," one commenter wrote. "Proud of you girl!" another fan wrote. "Tonight's show...so proud of you," one viewer wrote, while others echoed similar praise for Winter's self-love and self-worth. While it appears like Winter's fans are happy to see her single, her family also didn't shed any tears over Jah's departure from Winter's life. Chantel and family matriarch Karen Everett both notoriously disliked Jah since a private investigator hired by Chantel unearthed the shocking secret that Jah had been hiding a son from Winter for many years during their relationship.

Since Winter is considered to be the most sympathetic member of the Everett family, few viewers were sad to see Jah go. Like Winter’s family, audiences were concerned that the older man was too controlling and trying to force Winter into being a docile wife. Jah already convinced Winter to convert to his strict Nazarene fait,  which includes not celebrating Christmas and following a biblical diet. However, Winter drew the line at the idea of polygamy. Although there is no indication that Winter and Jah reconciled since their split, some Family Chantel fans are still concerned that Winter and Jah might reunite in the future.
