Michaela Clark and Zack Freeman are Married at First Sight alums who had more lows than highs last season, and it's time to share information about what Michael's been up to since the show aired. The season 13 couple was an ideal fit for the series, as both partners felt that they were behind in life. In addition, they both wanted to marry at relatively young ages. Michaela and Zack were also eager to start a family as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the marriage got off to a slow start as they had to separate only days into their honeymoon due to Zack catching the Covid-19 virus.
Fans worried that the separation could affect Michaela and Zack's relationship. When the couple reunited, they were thrilled to see one another, and this showcased their willingness to give their marriage a shot. However, Zack saw red flags with Michaela after they got into fights over the smallest things. Michaela was upset early on because she woke up without Zack there, although he'd only left the house for a few hours. After Michaela's dad passed away, she said she found it hard to be vulnerable. Zack was able to support her during that tough moment, but they couldn't maintain a positive dynamic. Zack was scared to share his honest feelings and he was also living with anxiety. After revealing that they were both likely to say no on Decision Day, the couple opted to sleep in separate beds, and it was all downhill from there. When the time came, Michaela and Zack opted out of the marriage.
When MAFS started, Michaela was eager to start a family, but now she's enjoying the single life. Since filming, Michaela has decided to embrace the jet-set lifestyle, by traveling to Cusco, Peru to visit Machu Picchu. From feeding Alpacas to posing amid ruins and documenting the rainforest, Michaela is having the time of her life. With Zack and MAFS in her rearview mirror, Michaela seems ready to take on any new adventure that comes her way. She also tried eating some skewered Alpaca while she was there, and said it wasn't "bad at all." Michaela posted a gorgeous shot of the local dish, which was worthy of any food blog. She wrote under the post, "When in any new land I like to eat the local meat. So far I've had zebra, warthog, kangaroo, crocodile, snakehead fish, guinea pig, etc. LOL losing track." Clearly, Michaela isn't afraid to expand her culinary horizons.
Michaela certainly doesn't seem to mind that her marriage with Zack didn't last. Since returning from Peru, Michaela has been busy showing off new glam looks, sharing her favorite sci-fi movies, and exercising with her dog. She has also discussed how working out alleviates her ADHD symptoms, noting that the best treatments vary from person to person. Michaela has also celebrated her relationship with costar, Gil Cuero. She emphasized the power of platonic relationships between men and women, remarking that she was not interested in setting Gil up with any of her friends, and some people have asked her to do that.
Michaela may not have been right for Zack, but she's been thriving solo, in Houston and across the globe. The wild MAFS social experiment can't be a success for everyone. Michaela proves that cast members can take risks on Married at First Sight and live their best lives afterward, no matter what happened during their stints on the reality show.
