Captain Marvel First Look Image (Probably) Coming Tomorrow

Brie Larson teases a major reveal for tomorrow, likely the first official look at Captain Marvel. 2019 is going to be a big year for Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There's obviously Avengers 4 coming in May, but the year kicks off with Captain Marvel in March. The solo movie starring Oscar-winner Brie Larson as Carol Danvers will be in theaters in six months, but there's yet to be any official looks at the movie.

The production of Captain Marvel brought plenty of set leaks, most of which focused on Larson sporting a green version of Captain Marvel's suit. It's believed she will be wearing the red, blue, and yellow at some point in the movie. Confirmation of that belief could come soon, with an official reveal apparently right around the corner.

Larson took to Twitter to tease that something is coming tomorrow via EW, and it looks to be the first piece of marketing for Captain Marvel. The star teased a reveal that will break the internet ,with the outlet's response indicating how "Marvel-ous" it will be. Whatever the reveal is, it'll be arriving at noon EST according to EW's followup tweet - to which Larson replied by saying, "Its a DATE!"

The initial thought is that EW will be debuting a first look image for Captain Marvel tomorrow afternoon. The outlet is the home for many first look images, especially when it comes to major blockbusters. Marvel movies also tend to drop images as the first step in the marketing campaign, so whatever EW has prepared, it's almost certainly not the trailer. That said, Larson's follow up tweet could point to something even more.

It could just be Larson's excitement coming through, but the all-caps emphasis on "date" is a bit curious. With EW's track record for debuting first look images, that's likely what's coming tomorrow, but possibly with the added bonus of when the first Captain Marvel trailer will drop. The launch date for the trailer could be why Larson believes the reveal will break the internet, as an image and trailer release date would be huge. If they really wanted to surprise fans, another date that's always important for movies is the theatrical release date. Setting an earlier release date would be a surprising move for Captain Marvel to make, but definitely one with the potential to make huge waves. However, such a move would only decrease Marvel's time to give it a proper marketing campaign.
