Warner Bros. PicturesCrazy Rich Asians continues to perform exceptionally well, proving to be one of the most unique box office hits of the year. For the three-day weekend the film brought in another $22.1 million, dropping by just 10%, but it’s estimated to add another $6.2 million today giving it a Labor Day weekend total of $28.3 million. The film now sits as the third highest Labor Day Weekend haul of all time and the highest in four years (since Marvel’s first Guardians of the Galaxy film). Crazy Rich Asians has also crossed the $100 million domestically, sitting at $117 million. Internationally the film brought in $10.4 million giving it an international total of $19.9 million. Globally the film has made $136.9 million. Based on the acclaimed worldwide bestseller by Kevin Kwan, Crazy Rich Asians features an international cast of stars led by Constance Wu, Gemma Chan, Lisa Lu, and Awkwafina, with Ken Jeong and Michelle Yeoh. The large starring ensemble also includes Henry Golding, making his feature film debut, Sonoya Mizuno , Chris Pang, Jimmy O. Yang, comedian Ronny Chieng, Remi Hii, and Nico Santos  Jon M. Chu directed the contemporary romantic comedy.

The Meg added another $10.5 million to its domestic haul for the three-day weekend and is estimated to bring in another $2.9 million today, giving it a domestic total of $123 million. Internationally the action-thriller added another $17.7 million for an international total of $342.3 million, and giving The Meg a global total of $462.8 million.Directed by John Turteltaub, the film stars Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Cliff Curtis, Rainn Wilson, Ruby Rose, Winston Chao, Page Kennedy, Jessica McNamee, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Robert Taylor, Sophia Shuya Cai, and Masi Oka.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout climbed up from fourth to third place, with a three-day weekend total of $7 million with an additional $2 million estimated for today, pushing it across the $200 million mark at the domestic box office. The sequel is now well within the range of 2011’s Ghost Protocol and 2015’s Rogue Nation which finished their theatrical runs with $694.7 million worldwide and $682.7 million worldwide, respectively, as Fallout has now managed to gross $649 million worldwide. Tom Cruise leads the Christopher McQuarrie film which co-stars Henry Cavill, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Angela Bassett, Michelle Monaghan and Alec Baldwin.

MGM’s Operation Finale opened with $6 million for the three-day weekend and is expected to add another $1.8 million on Labor Day, pushing it to fourth place for the holiday weekend. The thriller stars Oscar Isaac, Ben Kingsley, Lior Raz, Melanie Laurent, Nick Kroll, Joe Alwyn, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Aronov, Ohad Knoller, Greg Hill, Torben Liebrecht, Mike Hernandez, Greta Scacchi and Pêpê Rapazote, it’s directed by Chris Weitz.

Sony’s computer-screen thriller Searching took in $6 million for the weekend and is estimated to bring in another $1.58 million today for a four-day total of $7.65 million. The film opened to twice the amount of this year’s other computer-based thriller, Unfriended: Dark Web, which opened to the tune of $3.65 million. Searching stars John Cho, Debra Messing, Joseph Lee, and Michelle La.

Disney’s Christopher Robin continues to hold on adding $5 million to its domestic total for the three-day weekend and is estimated to bring in another $1.5 million today, giving it a domestic total of $85.4 million. Internationally it added another $4.7 million for a total of $45.9 million. Worldwide the film has now brought in $131.3 million. Directed by Marc Forster, Ewan McGregor stars as the title character alongside Hayley Atwell, Bronte Carmichael, and Mark Gatiss.  Voicing the characters from the hundred acre wood include Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Toby Jones as Owl, Nick Mohammed as Piglet, Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, and Sophie Okonedo as Kanga.
