First Look: Stranger Things Maze at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights

Universal Studios released the first images that show off its maze for Stranger Things as part of its annual Halloween Horror Nights event. Fans of the series will have access to some of the most iconic and scary moments of the series, with Universal taking them to the sleepy town of Hawkins and beyond.

Halloween Horror Nights is an annual event at Universal that converts the Universal Studios theme parks into something far more horrifying during the months of September and October. The special ticketed event features a series of haunted houses, mazes and live entertainment that live up to the spooky nature of the season. Some of horror's most famous characters have appeared at previous events, including Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and Leatherface. The event has also dedicated haunted houses and "scare zones" to The Walking Dead, Halloween, The Purge and Alien. It's no wonder that the event has earned Universal Studios Florida the Golden Ticket Award from Amusement Today for Best Halloween Event for the last 10 years straight.

This year, Universal has upped the ante and partnered with Netflix to bring the hit series Stranger Things to life at Universal Studios theme parks in Orlando, Hollywood and Singapore. Universal released the first images from the attraction, giving fans an idea of what to expect when they take their trip into the Upside Down:

Universal also released a video teasing a preview of the Stranger Things attraction:

Universal announced its partnership with Netflix to bring Stranger Things to Halloween Horror Nights back in April. Fans visiting the events can also experience a Trick 'R Treat and Poltergeist maze, as well as see Chucky and the Killer Klowns from Outer Space. But it's the Stranger Things attraction that most visitors will really want to see, especially since Netflix and the Duffer Brothers worked directly with Universal Studios to make it as terrifying as possible. Fans will walk through the Byers' living room, visit Hawkins National Laboratory in the Upside Down and see Will's fort, Castle Byers. There's no sign of the Demogorgon, but that doesn't mean he's not there.

Halloween Horror Nights begins on September 14 in Orlando and Hollywood and on September 27 in Singapore. Stranger Things fans can get tickets and special packages for the event by visiting the Universal Studios website. This is a must-do for any fan of the Netflix series, so get ready to pack those bags for a journey to the Upside Down.
