Iron Fist, Jessica Jones & Luke Cage Respond To Daredevil Teaser On Twitter

After Netflix dropped a season 3 teaser on the official Daredevil Twitter account, it received responses from some of Matt Murdock's closest allies. In a coordinated social media effort, tweets from the accounts of Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones replied to the teaser with concerns, as well as anger, of their own.

At the end of the second season of Daredevil, Matt was already feeling the pressures of being a vigilante by night and a lawyer by day. It became apparent that Matt thought his night gig was doing more good than his day job, and upon that realization, he began to isolate himself from the people who care about him. At the end of The Defenders, which brought Matt, Jessica, Luke and Iron Fist (aka Danny) together, Matt found himself trapped inside an exploding building. His friends believed that he died there, but the final scene of that series showed him waking up in a nunnery, very much alive.

Matt is still in some sort of holy place in season 3. The official Daredevil Twitter account posted a teaser trailer on Twitter that shows him giving a confession to a priest. In this clip, Matt admits that he has given up on the law and decided that the only way to fight darkness is by embracing his own darkness. This is the same Daredevil season 3 teaser trailer seen at the end of the most recent season of Iron Fist. Marvel fans responded quickly to the tweet, but it was the responses of the official accounts for Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones that seemed more on point with Netflix' marketing efforts for Daredevil season 3.

It's also interesting that the official Daredevil account started responding to fans reacting to the video. Those responses, though, are just Bible verses, most of which stress patience. These replies play into the fact that Netflix has not yet released a date for the premiere for the third season of Daredevil, but these replies to fans mean that Netflix might announce that date soon, perhaps at the Daredevil panel at this year's New York Comic Con.

The good news is that Netflix has already confirmed that Daredevil will return in 2018, probably around the end of the year. With marketing for the third season beginning to ramp up, it's likely that season 3 will turn up sooner, rather than later, perhaps even in the next month or so.
