Teen Wolf: The 10 Most Hated Supporting Characters, Ranked

Teen Wolf has provided fans with some amazing characters. Taken from the movie with the same name, we watched as Scott McCall adjusted to his newfound identity. With the help of his friends, Stiles, Lydia, and Allison, Scott has managed to have one of the strongest packs in Beacon Hills.

However, there have been some additions to the show that has prevented Scott's pack from reaching full potential. From chemistry teacher, Adrian Harris, to the Argent family, here are the 10 most hated supporting characters, ranked.

10 Hayden Romero

One character that was wasted on the show was Hayden. When Hayden was first introduced in season 5, there was a lot of potential. She resembled Allison in the aspect that she wasn't afraid to protect her friends from danger. She was an integral part of season 5 when it was revealed that she had been experimented on by the Dredd Doctors.

However, Hayden dropped into the background once she entered a relationship with Liam. In season 6, she was mostly defined by this relationship, getting taken by the Ghost Riders to protect him. It was then revealed in 6B that she had left Beacon Hills to protect her sister. Her character deserved better than being a love interest.

9 Natalie Martin

While Natalie is part of a long list of mothers who believe they know what is best for their children, she did not always make the best decisions when it came to Lydia. Believing her daughter to be in imminent danger, she made the worst decision by sending Lydia to Eichen House.

When Stiles tries to warn her about the mistreatment at the facility, she pays no attention to him. She also tells him that she doesn't want him visiting Lydia while she is recovering. Lydia ends up getting tortured by the doctors and abused by the nurses. It's not one of Natalie's finest moments.

8 Adrian Harris

Out of all the teachers you have seen on TV, Adrian has to be one of the worst. There wasn't much to Harris, other than the fact that he was a cold chemistry teacher and loved to give out detentions. However, fans soon learned that he played a key part in the Hale fire when he advised the culprits on how to get away with arson.

He also seems to be aware of the supernatural in Beacon Hills, helping the hunters, the Alpha and the Darach with their missions to save his own skin. It appeared his nine lives had run out by when he was killed in season 3. Safe to say, none of his students missed him.

7 Erica Reyes

It wasn't like Erica was a bad person or anything; she just wasn't as fleshed out like all the others. She made her first appearance in season 2 when Derek recruited her for his pack. Derek seduced her with promises of a better life, telling her the bite would make her more confident and popular.

However, other than being Derek's lackey, there were not many layers to Erica. Fans saw her try to adjust to life as a werewolf before she and Boyd attempted to flee town to find a new pack. On two occasions, she was subdued twice by the Argents and the Alpha Pack. In season 3, she was killed by Kali whilst trying to escape. It's harsh to say, but that sums up her storylines.

6 Theo Raeken

There is nothing worse than having a person pretend that they are your friend. Scott's pack learned this the hard way when the quasi-Werecoyote tricked them into believing he wanted to join them. In reality, Theo intended to steal Scott's Alpha status and pack.

Theo proved to be a mass manipulator, almost succeeding in putting a wedge between Scott and his friends.  However, his plan to take all their powers failed, and he was soon dragged into the earth by his dead sister. It's a long while before Theo can earn the trust of the pack again.

5 Matt Daehler

Out of all the characters, Matt had to be one of the creepiest villains. The student first made an appearance in season 2 when he expressed an interest in Allison and took her on a date. However, fans soon discovered that the photographer had an obsession with the hunter, with his laptop containing numerous photoshopped pictures of him and her.

Matt was also revealed to be the Kanima Master, using the supernatural creature to help in his quest for vengeance against the swim team. He then terrorizes Scott, Stiles, and their parents by taking them hostage at the station. Matt gets his comeuppance in the end

4 Rafe McCall

Papa McCall may be on better terms with Scott, but he was an absolute pain when he first arrived in Beacon Hills. Melissa revealed early in season 1 that she and Scott had an estranged relationship with Rafe, with the agent notably absent from the teen's life. He first appears in season 3 when he is investigating the recent murders.

Rafe begins to make the enemy of the pack (and fans) when he tries to get Sheriff Stilinski impeached from his job because of his inability to close cases. He also frustrated fans when his interference often made a situation worse for the pack. At least he redeemed himself near the end.

3 Victoria Argent

For the way she treated Scott and his pack, Victoria had to be included in this list. Although she just wanted the best for Allison, she went about it the wrong way. Sometimes, Victoria allowed her responsibilities with the hunters to affect her maternal instincts because she believed she was doing the right thing.

However, fans rarely shed a tear when they remember Victoria as she left us with terrible memories. Before her death, Victoria attempted to kill Scott because she hated that he was still dating Allison. She also tried to take Derek out when he came to rescue him. As a result, she was bitten. Other than seeing Allison and Chris grieve, Victoria would not be missed.

2 Kate Argent

From the beginning, fans knew they would not like Kate. She made quite an entrance when she hopped out of her car and shot Derek with a Wolfsbane bullet. Kate also manipulated Allison into discovering the truth about their family's heritage. However, a dark secret was discovered when Peter revealed she was responsible for the Hale's house fire that killed his family.

Fans believed she was dead until season 3 showed her turn into a werejaguar. In season 4 and season 6, she is determined to kill Scott, blaming him for the death of Allison. Boy did she know how to hold a grudge.

1 Gerard Argent

Gerard has to be one of the most hated characters on the show, if not ever. Not only did he prove to be an enemy to Scott and his pack, but he also turned his back on his family. In season 2, fans watched how Gerard was able to manipulate Allison's grief and turn it into a hatred for werewolves. However, he also betrayed his family when Gerard took control of the Kanima and revealed he wanted 'the bite.'

Just when fans thought they saw the last of him, he came back in season 6 with an army that was prepared to eliminate all supernatural beings. Fortunately, his deceptions and betrayals caught up to him when he was killed by Kate after he tried to murder her.
