The 2020 Oscars ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 9, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT., airing live on ABC. Last year the Oscars experimented with having no host, in order to cut down on the running time of the awards show. It appears that the experiment was a success, since it's been confirmed that this year the Oscars will once again have no host.

There was no shortage of great movies released in 2019, and every movie buff will have their favorites going into the most prestigious ceremony of awards season. To have a shot at Best Picture - for which anywhere between five and ten films can be nominated - the movies in competition will first have to get past this first hurdle. Tune in to watch the Oscars 2020 nominees announced live, and find out if your favorite films are in the running.
