Original Tim Burton Batman Movie Props Not Owned By Dr. Phil

Despite a plethora of rumors, the original movie props from the Batman films in Dr. Phil’s home do not belong to him. Released in 1989, Tim Burton’s Batman starred Michael Keaton as the Caped Crusader. Hailed for its stellar cast, including Jack Nicholson as the Joker and Kim Basinger as Vicki Vale, Batman helped to kickstart the superhero blockbuster era, and three decades (and multiple film iterations) later the character still remains one of the most popular superheroes of all time.

Regarded as a mental health professional, Philip McGraw became a television icon after Oprah Winfrey invited him onto her own series to host self-help segments, which then spawned his successful talk show, Dr. Phil. Revered for doling out vital nuggets of advice, Dr. Phil launched his show in 2002, earning massive ratings and boosting his career. Formatted as an advice-oriented show, Dr. Phil has created some of daytime television’s most controversial and memorable moments. Recently, Dr. Phil celebrated 3,000 episodes and garnered buzz for hosting a guest who claimed to be a superhero named “Goose Wayne Batman.” Following the news that Dr. Phil’s Beverly Hills home was up for sale, an inside look at the eccentric home led to speculation that Dr. Phil may possess an infatuation with Batman.

As reported to CNN, the original Batman props inside the home belong to Dr. Phil's son, Jordan McGraw. Featuring bear figurines, obscure furniture, a melted gun art installation, and original masks from the Batman films, the five-bedroom home went on the market earlier this week. Check out reporter Daniel Miller’s Twitter post revealing the inside of the mansion below:

Toting a hefty price tag of $5.75 million, the mansion was purchased through the McGraw family trust, however, Dr. Phil never officially resided in the home. His son Jordan is currently on tour with the Jonas Brothers and plans to fork over the multiple film props featured in the images above to the new owner of the Mediterranean-style home. Dr. Phil himself continues to keep a padded schedule and is currently the producer of numerous television series, including The Doctors, The Bull, and Face the Truth.

Holding steady as a top television personality - sans a license to practice psychology - Dr. Phil continuously juggles criticism and praise. Dubbed the world’s highest-paid television host, Dr. Phil has given advice to thousands of individuals, but an inside look at his family’s mansion has the internet speculating if he should offer his son some decor counseling. From strange art to Batman props, this house listing surely adds another interesting aspect to the life of Dr. Phil.
