Walking Dead Season 10 Posters Highlight Michonne, Alpha & More

AMC has released new posters for The Walking Dead's mid-season return, highlighting Michonne, Alpha, and more. Season 10 of the long-running zombie drama has been full of developments. In the previous episode, Dante was killed off by a furious Gabriel, and a bunch of main characters have fallen into Alpha's trap thanks to Carol. AMC recently released a trailer for the season's second half, promising big things in the Whisperer War.

10 years later, The Walking Dead is still going strong. While it's true the program has seen declining ratings in recent years, it remains a highly popular cable drama. The last couple of seasons have seen major turning points in the ongoing storyline. Andrew Lincoln left the show in season 9, but his character, Rick Grimes, will be headlining a theatrical movie. Danai Gurira confirmed last year she was leaving in season 10, much to the dismay of longtime Michonne fans. Finally, Alpha has emerged as one of the show's biggest threats, due to her Whisperers freely walking alongside the dead. If the show follows the comic book storyline completely, fans are in for a treat in the remainder of season 10.

The Walking Dead is returning next month, and AMC is celebrating by releasing key art for the mid-season premiere. These posters/banners focus on Michonne, Carol, Daryl, and Alpha. The tagline, "We are the Walking Dead" accompanies the art. This could be a reference to Rick's iconic line from back in season 5. Check out the posters below:

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the mid-season premiere will feature these four characters. Last month, AMC released an image of Michonne alongside Virgil. So, fans can likely look forward to seeing Michonne's endeavors in new settings. Meanwhile, Daryl and Carol look to take center stage, as they are two of the characters trapped with a horde. Since Negan didn't receive his own poster, it's possible his storyline won't be a center focus in the mid-season premiere, but time will tell.

It is certainly a good time to be a Walking Dead fan. In addition to season 10's return, the network is launching a new show, titled World Beyond, this April. Apparently, AMC is also looking to launch more series in the future, shows that could even feature deceased characters. What that means remains to be seen. Either way, big things are coming in the world of The Walking Dead. Despite being on the air for almost 10 years, it appears the franchise is just getting started.

The Walking Dead returns February 23 on AMC.
