Diamond Had Doubts About Carlton Before Their Love is Blind Breakup

Diamond had doubts about Carlton before their Love is Blind breakup. The couple was the first to not make it on the experimental reality show.

Netflix has decided to release a dating reality show of their own called Love is Blind. The premise of the show is for singles to try and find a significant other to fall in love with; the only catch is the singles must do this without ever laying eyes on one another. Viewers will watch as the couples try and form an emotional connection without the interruption of physical attraction. Netflix is veering from its usual layout and releasing each episodes chunks instead of the first season at once.

The first step on Love is Blind was the literal blind date between Diamond and Carlton, which resulted in an engagement. But after several strong engagements blossomed, the reality show had its first breakup. During episode four, fans watched as Carlton found it difficult to open up about his sexuality to his fiancée. Carlton kept quiet because he was afraid he would be rejected by Diamond. While the two jetted off to meet the others on their luxury vacation, he decided to sit down and explain to Diamond that he had dated both men and women in the past. Diamond did not take this well.

Diamond had her doubts about Carlton before the engagement, but was initially calm when she heard her financé’s news. She even took the night to digest what Carlton had told her. While thinking over the new information, Diamond found it difficult to understand that her blind love interest could be attracted to men while also being attracted to women and accused him of “playing the experiment.”  The two quickly fell into an argument and attacked each other with superficial insults. Diamond got the last laugh by throwing her drink in Carlton’s face while walking away and refusing to return to the show.

The two Netflix stars seem to be fine post break up and do not follow one another on social media. Diamond has since left her job as an NBA dancer and started working with a nonprofit organization while Carlton is working within the entertainment industry, specifically with The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Cynthia Bailey. Both Carlton and Diamond have remained silent about the show’s ending and have not communicated with one another online. The radio silence has led fans to believe that their relationship has ended once and for all.
