Daenerys Targaryen had a mystical and almost magical connection to her dragon Drogon in Game Of Thrones. 10 Drogon Defends His Mother At The Gates Of Yunkai
The gradual growth of the dragons becomes noticeable in Season 3. Daenerys also grows in power as garners an army of Unsullied soldiers and begins her fight against slavery in Slaver's Bay. Dany sacks Astapor before taking Yunkai in the season finale "Myhsa."
Daenerys meets with a Yunkish master outside the city to discuss terms of surrender. Drogon and his brothers flank the Dragon Queen during this encounter. Daenerys looks the part of a true Targaryen queen as Drogon fiercely protects his mother.
9 Burning Pyat Pree
In Season 2, Daenerys and her khalasar take shelter in Qarth, under the protection of Xaro Xhoan Daxos. Daenerys is betrayed by her host and her dragons are captured by Pyat Pree. The warlock uses Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion to lure Daenerys into the mysterious House of the Undying.
Daenerys encounters several prophetic visions before she is reunited with her captive children. Pyat Pree informs the Khaleesi that he intends to hold her and the dragons hostage as a source of power, but Drogon responds to his mother's Valyrian command and leads his brothers in burning the warlock.
8 Daenerys' Speech To The Dothraki
Daenerys initially finds herself in danger after being captured by the Dothraki in Season 6. The Queen of Meereen is taken to Vaes Dothrak, but turns the tables and assumes leadership of the Dothraki after she burns the Khals.
The Mother of Dragons reunites with Drogon during the journey back to Meereen. Daenerys senses the presence of her child and rides off from the khalasar. She returns atop Drogon, who has grown considerably since Season 5 and delivers an epic speech to rally her people.
7 Destroying The Iron Fleet
Daenerys Targaryen plummeted from grace in Season 8's controversial "The Bells." The Targaryen queen conquers King's Landing before succumbing to madness and burning the city. Before this, however, the Breaker of Chains has her last moment of greatness when she destroys Euron Greyjoy's ships.

Daenerys mounts Drogon and they take to the skies once more. Rhaegal and Viserion finally break free of their imprisonment in the catacombs and join their mother and brother in an attack on a slaver's ship. The power of the dragons forces Daenerys' enemies to surrender and ends the war in Meereen.
4 Daenerys And Drogon's First Flight
The Dragon Queen grows distant from her children and Targaryen heritage in Season 5 as she struggles to rule Meereen. In "The Dance Of Dragons," Daenerys is almost killed when the Sons of the Harpy attack Daznak's Pit. Luckily, however, Drogon arrives to protect his mother and Daenerys takes flight for the first time.
Daenerys climbs on the dragon's back and Drogon flies away from Meereen with his mother. This is one of Daenerys' most monumental and iconic scenes, as she becomes the first dragonrider in over a century.
3 Birth Of Dragons
Drogon and his brothers Rhaegal and Viserion are born in the Season 1 finale, "Fire And Blood." Daenerys places the petrified dragon eggs in Khal Drogo's funeral pyre before walking into the inferno. She emerges from the ashes unscathed the following morning with her newly hatched infant dragons.

2 Drogon Burns Astapor And The Unsullied Join Daenerys
