Who wouldn't want to work with Thor? He's powerful, hysterical, and he knows what a Bilgesnipe is. But that doesn't matter all the time, and sometimes Thor can be a bit much. He doesn't understand all of the earth's customs and that can make him, sometimes, a bit annoying.
He's so loveable, but he's also a little bit needy. For someone with so much power, he often falls short, and how many times can you misplace Mjolnir? Well, luckily, the Avengers are a big team so there are lots of people to help balance the different personalities. But here are a few heroes who would be pleased and a few who would be upset if they were paired up on a mission, one on one, with Thor.
10 Love - Valkyrie
Their relationship takes a little bit of time to warm up but by the end of Thor: Ragnarok Valkyrie and Thor are a formidable duo ready to fight for the future of Asguard. Thor even admits to Valkyrie that he wanted to be a Valkyrie in his youth (that's quite a compliment coming from Odin's son, even if it's been a while since Valkyrie believed in herself).
Valkyrie and Thor work well together because Thor recognizes Valkyrie's strengths, and her leadership ability, particularly when it comes to new Asguard.
9 Despise - Iron Man
Maybe it's the nicknames (Point Break) or the fact that on their first meeting Iron Man absorbs the power of lightning only to shoot it back in the God of Thunder's direction. Perhaps it's the fact that most of Iron Man's one-liners are jokes that Thor is unable to understand but, whatever it is, Iron Man and Thor don't play well together one on one.
Add to all of that the fact that Thor allows the tesseract to once again disappear from Asguard after the chitauri incident in New York and it's no wonder Iron Man might not be Thor's biggest fan.
8 Love - Vision
Vision shocks everyone, Thor included, when he lifts mjolnir in Age of Ultron. If Thor has any way to judge those around him, the ability to lift mjolnir is certainly one of them.
The pair get to spend a lot of time together in Ultron and both play major roles in taking the mad AI down in the end. Add to that Vision's incredible strength, Thor's appreciation of his skills, and the general unstoppableness of the duo together, and there's very little not to love.
7 Despise - War Machine
Rhodey always has Tony's back and, with a rough relationship between Iron Man and Thor a friendship was never likely to develop between the Norse God and War Machine. Add to that the incident in Stark Tower where both Tony and Thor were making fun of him and there's little for Rhodey to appreciate when it comes to Thor.
While it's fun for fans to watch War Machine struggle to lift Thor's hammer for War Machin himself it just felt embarrassing.
6 Love - Black Widow
When Black Widow falls through a few decks of the Helicarier with Bruce Banner in the first Avenger's movie it is Thor who finally shows up to give her a little assistance when the big green guy makes his appearance.
That alone earned Thor respect from Natasha. The duo continues to partner in keeping Bruce calm through parts of Age of Ultron as well. Their skills are not only complementary (brains and brawn) but the fact that Natasha has special feelings for Bruce, and Thor can assist him, means Thor holds a special place in the Black Widow's heart.
5 Despise - Dr. Strange
Dr. Strange doesn't really seem to like anyone. He's like a more serious and less sarcastic Tony sometimes. So it's no wonder, really, that Dr. Strange is not a huge fan of Thor.
Sure, Thor only seeks Dr. Strange out in the MCU because he's looking for his father, Odin, and Strange is likely to know where he is. The doctor does reveal that Odin is in Norway, but Thor seems both a little bit intimidated by the doctor and Strange seems less than thrilled to have to assist the less intellectual hero on his quest.
4 Love - Hulk
Since Hulk's love tap (where he punches Thor out of the shot) in Avengers, the two strongest Avengers have had a very special bond. Thor helps keep Hulk from harming Natasha in that first film and, in Thor: Ragnarok is thrilled to find Hulk facing him in the Grandmaster's arena.
As much as Thor loves the Hulk he also appreciates Bruce and his know-how. They are one of the best comic duos in the entire MCU as they try to escape the Grandmaster. And Bruce can certainly respect the fact that Thor can keep him in check and is willing to talk to both Bruce, and the big green guy, on equal terms.
3 Despise - Bucky
Unfortunately, Thor was missing from Civil War on screen, but his relationships with the other characters were already well developed enough that we can infer he'd be less than a fan of Bucky Barnes.
Thor would not have appreciated Bucky's attacking his friend Captain America in The Winter Soldier and, even more so, certainly would not have liked the fact that it was Bucky who broke up Cap and Iron Man, leaving Thor as the intermediary between the Avenger's big three. That's a lot of work for the God of Thunder that he's not really equipped to handle.
2 Love - Black Panther
Black Panther and Thor have a lot in common. They are both from lands/worlds outside of the ordinary and were the eldest sons of reigning monarchs. Add to that the fact that Thor arrives just in time in Avengers: Infinity War to keep all of Wakanda from being taken over, well, T'challa certainly appreciated that (before he became a dust cloud that is).
If they ever met up when they were not saving the world odds are they would have quite a lot to talk about.
1 Despise - Loki
Sure, Loki is usually a villain. Sure, on occasion, the brotherly duo can survive by working together, but that doesn't mean that Loki ever enjoys working with his brother. Loki comes with a lot of baggage being the younger son of Odin (as well as being adopted). The God of Mischief has always felt like the odd man out and, while Thor always claims to love Loki sometimes he's not great at showing it or having his brother's back.
Thus, Loki never was his brother's greatest fan.
