Money completely changed Kelz's attitude toward going on a hookup getaway on Too Hot To Handle. He was the accountant, avoiding sexual relations and telling others to abstain as well.
The London-based professional American football player came onto the show with the same sexual energy as the rest of his cast. He was sizing up his potential mates, deciding who he was most attracted to. That quickly came to a halt when the announcement was made by Lana that he would lose money if anyone hooked up. Some balked at the idea. Kelz took the creed as gospel. There would be nothing to lure Kelz into bed, no one to sway him into a smooch. He was the arbiter of morality among a group of people who have lived their adult lives doing the very acts that were forbidden on Too Hot To Handle. The competitive side of pro athlete won out over the innately thirsty side. He was rarely tempted and made it so that no others would fall victim to their urges.
Only one time did Kelz nearly eat his own words. When he and Francesca went on a date, they got close in the hot tub. Francesca would have accepted a kiss. Kelz knew that if he broke the rules, he would look like a hypocrite. Nonetheless, the date progressed to the shower. As narrator Desiree Burch put it, they moved from one form of "watery seduction" to another. Francesca wanted more from Kelz. He didn't give it to her. Also, oddly enough, showering together wasn't a breach of code. Francesca responded by breaking it off with Kelz and running getting back together with Harry. Kelz said simply, "Cool."
As much as Kelz enjoys intimacy, he wants to win more. That was apparent throughout the eight-episode run of Too Hot To Handle. Had Kelz known the extremely dissatisfying way the show would end, perhaps he would have indulged in some of the attractive options at his disposal.
The most well-built man at the retreat, Kelz served as a fulcrum between the men and women, preventing the rule-breakers from teetering out of control with his constant pleas that his good-looking friends keep it PG. They obliged enough for the cast to leave with $7,500, a meager amount for what they will likely make from social media endorsements as a result of this. If there were another show in which hookups were rewarded rather than punished, it's fair to assume Kelz wouldn't stay single for long.
