10 Best Zendaya Movies & TV Shows, Ranked (According To IMDb)

Zendaya is a twenty-three year old powerhouse. The young entertainer has been an important part of kids' media on Disney Channel, but she has always shown great maturity, which has carried her into her more adult roles. Now she is one of the most respected in the industry, and she has become a bold force in fashion, too.

It has been just one decade since Zendaya got started and quickly took the world by storm. Zendaya's breakout role as Rocky Blue is not on the list because the series Shake it Up has a mere 4.8 on IMDb. Zendaya has much more highly-rated roles, and she shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Here are the triple threat's ten best movies and TV shows, according to IMDb.

10 K.C. Undercover - 6.1

Zendaya defied the odds and got a second Disney series after Shake it Up ended. K.C. Undercover ran from 2015-2018. Zendaya's character, K.C. Cooper, is a high school math genius during the day and a spy by night.

This premise was clearly lifted from earlier Disney Channel shows like The Famous Jett Jackson and Hannah Montana, but it's cool that Zendaya got to do a second successful Disney series in a powerful role.

9 Smallfoot - 6.6

In 2018, Zendaya exercised her voice-over talents in Smallfoot, a film about a Yeti concerned with the existence of humans.

The accomplished performer was the voice of Meechee among a star-studded cast that included Channing Tatum, Yara Shahidi, James Cordon, Common, LeBron James, and many others.

8 Black-ish - 7.2

Zendaya knew which hit TV shows to appear on as she started to move beyond the Disney sphere. She played a girl named Resheida in a season two episode of Black-ish called "Daddy's Day."

This was a smart move for the versatile actress, since the series was and still is such an important part of American culture.

7 A.N.T. Farm - 7.4

It is important to clarify that the show A.N.T. Farm has an overall rating of 5.0 on IMDb, which isn't awesome. The Disney Channel show did pretty well when Zendaya guest-starred, though.

She played Sequoia in the season two episode "Creative ConsultANT," which is rated very well. The guest spot took place after Zendaya had already begun work on Shake it Up. She therefore had an automatic fan base to stir up interest in her part on the episode.

6 Spider-Man: Homecoming - 7.4

Zendaya began her journey as MJ in Spider-man: Homecoming. The 2017 film is another take on Peter Parker's teenage life in Queens. Zendaya's Michelle/MJ is a literary introvert.

Though she does not start out with as big a role as she has in the sequel, her character will become more important as Peter's love interest.

5 Spider-man: Far From Home - 7.5

Many of Zendaya's fans have followed her from the Disney days to her most recent projects. In 2019, she reprised her role as MJ, Michelle Jones (not Mary Jane) in Spider-man: Far From Home.

MJ is a bigger part of this movie than the first one as she and Peter Parker explore their relationship further. Fans are eager to see her in this role once more.

4 The Greatest Showman - 7.6

Disney's The Greatest Showman was one of their most talked-about films of 2017 because of its storyline and impressive musical soundtrack. The movie was based on the story of P.T. Barnum, and Zendaya played Anne Wheeler opposite Zac Efron's Phillip Carlyle.

Anne is a trapeze artist and acrobat, and she is one of Zendaya's most exciting characters. The film really showcases her musical talents and refreshing charisma.

3 The OA - 7.9

Netflix's The OA is one of Zendaya's most highly rated TV shows. It centers on a suspicious blind woman named Prairie whose sight is mysteriously restored after seven years.

Zendaya's character on the drama was Fola, a gamer who appeared in three episodes in 2019, which was the final year of the show.

2 Good Luck Charlie - 8.0

Zendaya's episode of Good Luck Charlie has a higher rating than the show's overall IMDb rating. This is likely because Disney Channel fans love a good crossover episode. Seeing CeCe and Rocky with Teddy and rest of the Duncans is a good memory for many, and the title "Charlie Shakes It Up" is also pretty clever.

Disney knew this formula would work from the success of early crossovers like "That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana" (a compilation of That's So RavenThe Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and Hannah Montana).

1 Euphoria - 8.3

Zendaya plays Rue Bennett on HBO's Euphoria. Just knowing that this is an HBO show signals that it will be completely different from the actor's Disney work, even though Euphoria is still about high school students.

Instead of spending all their days singing and dancing, these kids are into sex, drugs, and violence. It probably isn't for all of Zendaya's young fans, but those who have grown up with her might appreciate her handling different subject matter. This young woman has an incredible range and depth to her acting talents, and it is amazing to step back and see the variety of work she has done over the years.
