After all, Luke Skywalker's battle to destroy the Empire didn't end by blasting the first Death Star to smithereens. What it took was the dedication of the entire Rebel Alliance to defeat Palpatine's forces once and for all. Even then, the galactic peace and harmony didn't last very long due to the rise of the First Order. However, what has always been so inspiring about Star Wars is that there were still those willing to rise up and fight for what was right. Hamill's support of the Black Lives Matter protestors would certainly make Luke Skywalker proud.
The struggle and fight for justice in Star Wars is a theme that is universal to all of humanity. Fans continue to love Star Wars not only for the lightsaber duels and galactic space battles but mainly for the characters that rise above evil and do everything they can to eradicate it.
