Marvel Unlimited Adds Over Two Dozen New Comics | Screen Rant

In this week’s massive update, Marvel Unlimited adds more than two dozen new titles, including premiere issues from two Annihilation: Scourge series, Silver Surfer and Beta Ray Bill, and the retro-centric Symbiote Spider-Man. Subscribers to the digital platform can revel in the origins of the covert X-Force and in the youthful glamour of the New Mutants of Krakoa, as well as the gothic tragedy of Morbius the Living Vampire. Each week, Screen Rant takes a look at the latest update to Marvel Comics' digital library, Marvel Unlimited - here are just a few of the standout titles in this week’s Pull List!

Annihilation: Scourge, Marvel’s blitzkrieg December 2019 event chronicles a ruinous Negative Zone incursion stoked by the invasive Cancerverse, is a story arc told in six acts; Annihilation: Scourge - Alpha, Fantastic Four, Nova, Beta Ray Bill, Silver Surfer and the finale Annihilation: Scourge - Omega. While Omega has yet to hit the Marvel Unlimited archive, the addition of Annihilation: Scourge - Silver Surfer and Annihilation: Scourge - Beta Ray Bill brings anticipation to a fever pitch for the imminent conclusion. Since his transformative and extraordinary experiences in the primordial past, former Herald of Galactus, the Silver Surfer has become an intangible and ghostly specter and, through the Power Cosmic, can meld his being with that of another sentient creature. In Annihilation: Scourge, the Surfer contemplates his new-found form in the vast isolation of space before his reverie is shattered by refugees fleeing the Negative Zone though a rift in the multiverse. Learning of the terrible events unfolding in the Negative Zone, the Silver Surfer enters the dread dimension to face the Revengers of the chaotic Cancerverse and for an unanticipated encounter that may change the course of the coming war with the Scourge.

Among the interstellar icons recruited for Annihilation: Scourge including the mercurial Nova, Silver Surfer, and Marvel’s First Family, Beta Ray Bill alone wields Asgardian magic in the mystic uru mallet, Stormbreaker. Oath-bound to use this awesome power for righteousness, Beta Ray Bill is drawn into the maelstrom of war when Negative Zone outcasts and their pursuers, the Scourge tear through the fabric of space. The vanguard of Scourge forces are led by a terrifying mockery of Doctor Strange and the Void-perona of the lost hero, the Sentry. Will the combined might of the enchanted hammer, Stormbreaker and Bill’s teleporting canine companion, Lockjaw the Inhuman be enough to stop the virulent Scourge? Find out in Annihilation: Scourge - Beta Ray Bill, new on Marvel Unlimited this week.

Meanwhile on Krakoa … X-Force #3 recounts the tale of the cloak-and-dagger team's creation in the wake of Professor Xavier’s assassination at the hands of Xeno, anti-mutant crusaders with considerable wealth and technology at their disposal. Learn the origins of the Cerebro Sword, the mutant black-ops team, and of a shroud of villainy that has descended on Krakoa to silence certain assassins in the latest X-Force chapter on Marvel Unlimited. And in New Mutants #3, while the away team is lost in space, Armor, Glob, Sage, Boom-Boom, Maxime, and Manon are Earthside, attempting to account for missing mutants that have yet to respond to Xavier’s worldwide summons to the island-sanctuary. Leaving the safety of the Sextant, the collection of biomes that serves as the home to younger generations of mutants, the New Mutants set off for far-flung Nebraska with hopes of saving mutants with Krakoan miracle drugs. But when non-mutant actors armed to the teeth come for those same drugs, the New Mutants learn “why they always send Wolverine first.” Catch all of the new additions to New Mutants, X-Force, and Psylocke’s Fallen Angels in this week’s update to Marvel Unlimited.

Additionally, the digital archive has been updated to include previously-anticipated X-Men #3, premiere issues of Venom 2099 and Thor: The Worthy, the prankish Spider-Man & Venom: Double Trouble #2, the gripping finale of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order - Dark Temple, the enlightening comic primer Star Wars Saga, retelling the work Jason Aaron, Kieron Gillen, Greg Pak, and Simon Spurrier, and the classic Star Wars Facsimile Edition, reprinting the seminal Marvel adaptation from 1977.
