The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Dolores Catania has revealed that she had a tummy tuck. Fans always thought Dolores looked great but are happy for her decision to go under the knife.
The 49-year-old joined the franchise back during season 6 after numerous years of being a friend of Teresa Giudice’s. The Paterson, New Jersey, native was no stranger to the arguing amongst women since she used to be a police officer offer who worked with inmates. Fans grew to love her tight-lipped, no-nonsense approach to life.
To the surprise of fans, the reality star decided to take it upon herself to have a tummy tuck. Dolores owns the Powerhouse Fitness Center of Whippany and felt that she needed to look the part and had been thinking about the procedure for a long time. The Bravo personality is set to turn 50 this year and she wants to be able to live her life to the fullest.
The story broke while the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey was celebrating the fourth of July. Dolores posted a picture of her new look along with an explanation. The mother of two explained that she had worked out hard and lost 25 pounds before the operation. She had stuck to a strict diet but still did not feel comfortable in her body. Viewers are used to seeing the reality star wear cover-ups on the girl’s trips so were not surprised with her decision. Dolores’ Instagram post shared that she was so happy to be able to enjoy the holiday weekend with the other women. She also referenced her "Tune-up" by thanking Dr. Joseph Michaels. She went into a bit of detail explaining that along with the tummy tuck she also had 360 liposuction treatment, and fat transferred to her butt.
As for the rest of the ladies of the garden state, they are all happy for their friend and think she looks great! Even Dolores’s boyfriend, Dr. David Principe, has started to embrace her choice even if he did not agree with her decision at first. The women have started filming for the new season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and fans are looking forward to seeing all the changes that have come the women’s way.
