Stranger Things 4: 5 Questions Answered From the Trailer (& 5 We Still Have)

Stranger Things Season 3 was another hit for the series, with fans loving the direction the latest twist has taken them. That being said, we're already eagerly looking forward to season four. That means we're picking apart the trailer in hopes of getting our questions answered.

Unfortunately, it is only a trailer and not the whole season. That means it couldn't possibly answer all of our questions. With that in mind, here are five questions the trailer did answer, as well as five we're still looking to have answered.

10 Answered: Will There Be More Seasons?

While fans have been hearing rumors that the series isn't over, it's hard to see that as a hard truth until there's evidence to support it. The presence of a trailer diffidently proves that there will be at least one more season to the series.

Given how production has stopped on many projects right now, the continuation of the series was not a given. So knowing that enough has been filmed to produce a trailer is a relief for the fans out there.

9 Remaining: How Hopper Survived

At the end of the third season, fans were left concerned about the fate of Jim Hopper. Thanks to the trailer, fans now know without a shadow of a doubt that Hopper is alive. But the real question is; how did he survive that explosion?

Additionally, how were they able to get him out and bring him all the way to Russia without anybody else noticing a thing? As far as Hopper's friends and family know, he is dead and gone.

8 Answered: Is Hopper Alive or Dead?

While the teaser at the end of season three implied that Hopper survived (again, fans don't yet know how that happened), there was still concern about his continuing survival. After all, he was in a prison that wasn't exactly taking good care of its people.

The trailer confirms that Hopper is alive and that he will remain alive for the time being. The entire trailer being focus on Hopper actually implies that much of the plot will be revolving around him, in one way or another.

7 Remaining: How Will Hopper Find Eleven Again?

Now that raises a new question. How exactly is Hopper going to get free, assuming he even does? Will he get free and go home to Eleven? He's the first family she really had, so it would be good for fans to see them together again, obviously.

That seems like a complicated task, however, so fans are left with more questions than answers after seeing where Hopper is and what he's up to.

6 Answered: What Happened To Jim Hopper?

One thing that the trailer did answer about Hopper; what he's currently up to. That is to say, he's clearly a prisoner being used for manual labor. Fans don't yet know why he was spared (instead of being turned into food), but one can wager a guess or two about that at least.

Now fans know that Hopper survived both the explosion and the prison. Fans also have a rough idea of where he is even, though nobody in Hopper's life knows that at the moment.

5 Remaining: Why Is Hopper's Head Shaved?

A new question raised by the trailer; why is Hopper's head shaved? Given that it appears to be cold where he is, it doesn't seem likely that it has been done for his comfort. This could mean that they're doing it either to punish him or to make it cheaper to clean him clean and healthier.

It could also imply something more sinister. Is there a chance that Hopper has had something implanted into his head? That would explain why he had to be shaved. In a world where the Upside Down exists, anything is possible.

4 Answered: When Is Season Four Set?

Here's the next important question: when was this trailer set? Obviously Hopper is alive, and while he may not be well, there's still a chance for him. That being said, there's little else to provide context for this scene.

Has it been a few weeks? Months? Years? Without getting a glimpse at the rest of the cast it's really difficult to tell. One can only hope – for everyone's sake – that it hasn't been more than a few months at worst,

3 Remaining: How Is Will Handling All Of The Changes?

Speaking of the characters and all of the changes they've been facing recently; how is Will doing? He's arguably one of the characters who has gone through the most, and now he's moving away from his friends and support network.

That isn't to say it's the wrong decision, but it does leave fans wondering how he's doing with everything that has occurred. Will living with Eleven help or hinder the healing process? The same question could be applied to her as well.

2 Answered: What Will Influence Future Events?

One thing is clear; the plot involving the Russians is far from over. If they have control over Hopper, the rest of the cast will be seeing them soon as well. More than that, it implies that these characters are still trying to gain access to the Upside Down somehow.

None of this seems great, of course. But it does give fans an idea of what to expect in the near future for this series.

1 Remaining: Does Eleven Have Her Powers Again?

Last, but certainly not least, the trailer didn't address any concerns about Eleven. Does she have her powers back yet? Will she get her powers back? If so, how does she get them back, and will it cost her anything in the meantime?

All of these questions will surely be answered when the season comes out, but they have been burning in the minds of the fans for all these months. A burning that probably got worse when Eleven didn't even make an appearance in the trailer.
