Taika Waititi is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about directors within the world of Hollywood due to his fun style which often creates incredibly engaging movies. He's played a part in the MCU and is set to direct one of the new Star Wars movies, but while he's a great director, he is also a very talented actor.

10 Seven Stages To Achieve Eternal Bliss - 5.3 (2018)
This comedy focuses on a couple who have no experience of a big city, yet they attempt to find their ideal apartment in that environment. When they do, the only catch is that it is the home to a deranged cult, which is where the seven stages aspect kicks in.
It's a fairly bizarre and crazy movie which certainly isn't to everyone's taste. However, for those that enjoy this style of comedy, they will no doubt find some enjoyment in this movie.
9 Green Lantern - 5.5 (2011)
Green Lantern is probably a movie that Taika Waititi doesn't want to be reminded of, with this superhero film often being viewed in a very poor light. It's something that Ryan Reynolds has openly mocked ever since, especially when playing Deadpool, which showcases how the film is remembered.
The CGI quality in this film was poor, and the storyline simply wasn't gripping at all, leaving a lot of fans disappointed. Taika Waititi played the role of Thomas who was an engineer, and while it wasn't a huge part, it was a big role for him in the sense of being part of a major blockbuster film.
8 Scarfies - 6.4 (1999)
Set in New Zealand, as many of Taika Waititi's movies are, this film follows five young students who are living in an abandoned house. Of course, that house just so happens to have a large amount of marijuana that they sell to become as wealthy as they can.
It's full of positives until the owner of the drugs appears and problems begin to arise for them. They end up locking him into the basement and that is where the young group is forced to make a big decision. It's a fun movie and while it is definitely raw around the edges, there are plenty of positives.
7 Eagle vs Shark - 6.8 (2007)
Taika Waititi plays the role of Gordon in this movie, who is a great athlete and the favorite son of the family. He is the brother of Jarrod, who is one of the lead characters in the film as he works alongside Lily as they awkwardly bumble their way through life.
The two of them aren't the typical 'cool' people which is where some comedy comes through as they try to deal with high-school bullies and spend their time dressed in costumes playing video games. It's a heartwarming movie that is a lot of fun to watch, which proved to be a hit for Taika.
6 Boy - 7.5 (2010)
Michael Jackson is someone who had a profound impact on many people around the world, and the 'King Of Pop' plays a part in this one. With the film focusing on Boy, who is a huge fan of Jackson who is given the opportunity to know who his absentee father is, who just so happens to be a criminal.
Taika worked as both the director and writer here, helping to carve together a really intriguing movie and, of course, he popped himself into the movie as well. He plays the absent father in this film who returns to try and find some money he had previously buried, looking to restart his life with the cash.
5 What We Do In The Shadows - 7.7 (2014)
What We Do In The Shadows is one of Taika Waititi's most popular movies to date. It dips into the world of horror with a mockumentary style movie which proved to be absolutely hilarious as a trio of vampires tries to cope with modern life.
Putting the classic monster creatures into the normal world that people associate with was a hilarious concept, seeing them try to have a night out drinking or pay their rent was a unique idea that really worked out well.
4 Hunt For The Wilderpeople - 7.9 (2016)
Hunt for the Wilderpeople was a movie set in Taika Waititi's nation of New Zealand and was both written and directed by him. Being based on a book, the film focuses on an uncle who plays a fatherly figure, with him and his foster son being targeted by a manhunt.
It's a gripping movie and certainly brings plenty of intensity, eeping audiences hooked from start to finish. Waititi doesn't just direct the movie though, as he also stars in it. He is part of the supporting cast, playing the minister in this film.
3 Thor: Ragnarok - 7.9 (2017)
Taika Waititi took the reigns of the Thor franchise for the third movie, Thor: Ragnarok, and he took the character and the trilogy in a totally different direction. The movie brings totally new energy to the franchise, especially with the comedy that is added through some of the new characters such as Korg.
Waititi also acts in the film as he plays Korg, who is a complete scene-stealer every single time he appears. His dry delivery makes everything absolutely hilarious, even though the character isn't intentionally trying to be funny.
2 Jojo Rabbit - 8.1 (2019)
Taika Waititi had his fingers all over Jojo Rabbit, having played a part in writing the screenplay, directing the movie, and acting throughout as Adolf Hitler. Of course, this version of Adolf is slightly different, as he is actually the imaginary friend of Jojo.
The movie tackles serious issues from the period, with Jojo struggling the fact that her mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic. However, it does so in an absolutely hilarious manner, with Taika's version of Hitler really providing a lot of laughs in what is a great movie.
1 Avengers: Endgame - 8.4 (2019)
Taiki Waititi only makes a cameo appearance in Avengers: Endgame, but it was very smart of Marvel to put the character into the blockbuster movie due to how popular he had proved to be in Thor. Korg appears when Hulk and Rocket go looking for Thor, finding him playing video games and drinking beers.
Korg is happily playing Fortnite online and his brief cameo is absolutely hilarious, adding a very funny moment to what is a serious film overall. Of course, overall, Avengers: Endgame is a fantastic movie, which brought an end to years of storytelling in a perfect manner.
