Joanna Coles, who was the editor-in-chief of Cosmo and whose working life inspired the show (she's an executive producer), shared that there's a scene that was based on something that actually took place.

When an employee realizes that a Goop stone won't come out of their private parts, that was inspired by a real life story. IRL, an employee was writing an article about a sponge, but they weren't able to remove it themselves.

Fans are all about the fact that three main characters are best friends and as it turns out, the actresses who portray those girls are close in real life.

Katie Stevens, who plays Jane Sloan, said that the girls love going to a Montreal restaurant for lunch and Aisha Dee, who plays Kat Edison, is often excited about music to share with everyone.
