Which Clueless Character Are You Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

Clueless is a generation-defining movie. Landing in theaters in the mid '90s, 2020 marks its 25th anniversary, and those who saw the movie as kids can often quote it from memory today. Many of the audience likely identify with one Clueless character over the others.

For those audience members, they might be interested in finding out just who they're really most like in the Emma interpretation. Based on the personality traits associated with the 12 signs of the Western zodiac, we've determined which characters fit which sign the best. Fans might be surprised to find out which Clueless character they best match with...

12 Aries: Cher

Cher's sign actually isn't based on pure speculation. She mentions in the movie that her birthday is in April, making her either an Aries or a Taurus. She fits Aries much better.

Aries are go-getters. While they can be seen as immature, that's because they impulsively follow their hearts. Cher does just that setting up her friends, trying to find herself a boyfriend, and helping people recover after the Pismo Beach disaster.

11 Taurus: Elton

The first thing most of us remember about this sign is that a Taurus is as stubborn as its symbol, the bull. Elton certainly shows that stubborn streak when he continues to try and get Cher to hook up with him after she's rejected him.

Elton also, however, demonstrates another aspect of the Taurus: he loves his luxury. This particular sign tends to produce a lot of people who appreciate fine art or music. In Elton's case, it's more about an appreciation for the lifestyle his parents can afford.

10 Gemini: Tai

Like Cher, Tai's birth month is mentioned in the movie. Born in May, she's a month younger than Cher, and by default, either a Taurus or a Gemini. Also like Cher, she fits one of those signs much better than the other.

Tai is someone who has to adjust quickly to the culture shock of her surroundings, and Geminis are known for the ability to adapt. Tai also demonstrates her creativity with her penchant for drawing, and she's incredibly social, also like a Gemini.

9 Cancer: Mr. Hall

Cancers are nurturers. They take care of their friends, tend to be emotional, and often love a good dad joke. It makes perfect sense for Cher's debate teacher to have the sign of the crab.

The audience doesn't see a lot of him in the movie outside of Cher setting him up with Miss Geist, but what they do see of him shows that he allows his students to be individuals — as long as they participate in his class.

8 Leo: Amber

Leos can be very giving and generous people, but they also love to be the star of the show. The latter is more in line with Amber.

Amber wants so badly to be appreciated and adored the way Cher and Dionne are. She copies Cher's style, goes to the same parties, and hangs with the same kids. Unfortunately, Amber is only generous with those she deems worthy, like Elton.

7 Virgo: Christian

Typically, Virgos are the most organized of the zodiac. They're often the friend that helps with homework. Christian might not help Cher academically, but he does give her a pop culture education, introducing her to Billie Holiday and Rock Hudson.

As Cher notes, Christian is also a bit of a perfectionist. His outfits are never out of place.

6 Libra: Murray

The scale sign is all about balance. Someone who spends a lot of the movie arguing with his girlfriend might not seem like he appreciates balance, but there's a key in Murray's approach to his relationship with Dionne.

Though he might argue with her, he always listens to what she's saying. He takes her criticisms, like misogynistic undertones in his language, and learns from them.

5 Scorpio: Dionne

Scorpios love a good mystery and searching for hidden meaning in everyday life. In Dionne's case, that doesn't mean watching crime procedurals on television.

Instead, she frequently finds meaning in Murray's vocabulary, the hair extensions in his car, and the reasoning behind his hair cuts. She's always wondering about the whys of the world, and that leads to a lot of the drama in her relationship.

4 Sagittarius: Josh

The archer of the zodiac is someone who loves to acquire knowledge and connection. That might not necessarily be academic knowledge, though for Josh, it appears that way.

He's not interested in corporate law, but pursues an internship anyway — partially to be close to Mel and Cher, but also to learn. Josh reads philosophy in his spare time, watches the news, and debates Shakespeare with his date. He loves to learn — and he loves to be right.

3 Capricorn: Mel

Speaking of someone who loves to be right, so does Cher's father. He loves a good argument, which is why he's a corporate lawyer.

Mel is also a leader, a hard worker, and an ambitious man. All of those traits make up a pretty stereotypical Capricorn. His gruff demeanor with Josh and Cher is also a sign of a Capricorn — masking his emotions, though he cares deeply for both of them.

2 Aquarius: Miss Geist

Aquarians are the independent thinkers and the humanitarians of the zodiac. They're often called revolutionaries for their outside-the-box thinking.

Miss Geist, though it appears she teaches a history class, focuses her students on the present. She wants them to learn to observe the world around them and lend a hand where they're needed.

1 Pisces: Travis

Sometimes people view Pisces as overly emotional or flighty because of their tendency to lose themselves in a daydream. They also, however, tend to be very in touch with their feelings and can be incredibly spiritual people.

Travis doesn't come across as spiritual, but he is very empathetic. Even the popular kids who reject him time and again get invitations to his parties and his skateboarding events.
