Tania Maduro and Syngin Colchester of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? reached South Africa. On the August 9 episode, the Connecticut native got to spend some quality time with Syngin's mother and sister. She revealed how her husband is still in a party mode and not ready to settle down. Many viewers wonder if Tania is expecting too much from Syngin.
In recent episodes, viewers noticed that Syngin has been unable to get a job in the States. At the same time, he is feeling homesick. When he heard that his brother Dylan had a near-death experience, he decided to visit his native country. Tania agreed to go, thinking this trip would give Syngin a chance to reunite with his family while presenting an important bonding experience for the couple. Unfortunately, the pair landed in the new country with numerous unresolved issues. While Syngin was super excited to be back, Tania had her concerns about their relationship, which she shared with her mother-in-law, Charmain, and sister-in-law, Charys. The mother-daughter duo thinks the couple didn't spend much time together before tying the knot, which is now causing the problems between them. Charmain asked Tania if Syngin is happy in America. The TLC star stated she "thinks" he's happy.
Tania told Syngin's mom that her son is not ready to settle down and start a family. She said, "I feel like I compromised in the beginning of our relationship. I did a lot of things I would have never done, and now I'm asking him to settle down. I think he wants to, but part of him feels like he's losing his freedom. I'm like, I don't want you to feel like you're losing your freedom, like, being committed or in a relationship with me." Well, Tania isn't asking too much from her husband. He should be able to financially support his wife when she is unable to earn money due to her car accident. But Syngin failed to secure a job and, to top it all off, he has drinking problems. When he couldn't get through a job interview, he decided to get drunk. For any married couple, the next step in a relationship is to take care of the household as a team, run the family smoothly, and eventually have kids.
When her mother-in-law asked directly, Tania denied that she is trying to change her husband. She understands he made sacrifices by moving to America, but she also wants him to take his responsibilities seriously. He is married and not 21 anymore, right?
The reality star sums up her feelings and makes an excellent argument by saying, "It's just sometimes it's just a party, and I partied hard when I was like, 21, you know? I'm like, done with that." Let's hope that the South African native gets some clarity while in his home country. It will be interesting to see if he decides to return to America with his wife or not.
