Scorpios are known for their seductive, passionate, and totally independent natures. They make for great friends and even greater enemies. They have a deep well of emotions and try to understand all of their feelings, even if they don't convey them in all the right ways. This is why Scorpios tend to build a wall before letting people in. They wait for those who are eager and ready to break these walls down before opening up their true selves to them.
Harry Potter has a vast amount of spells, charms, jinxes, and hexes that work better for some rather than others. Spells are based on the person and their skills when casting, just like how Neville Longbottom had such a hard time casting Expelliarmus. Here is a list of spells that Scorpios would totally excel at and some that may not be the best suited for them based on their traits and personality.
10 Master - Aqua Eructo
It's easy to forget that Scorpio is a water sign with their typical bold and brash personality, but inside Scorpios are a watery depth of emotion that they are totally intuned with. Aqua Eructo is the perfect spell for Scorpios to master, as it is a perfect symbol for them. The spell jets out a controllable stream of clean water, it is a bit more aggressive than its counterpart, Aguamenti. Water can be aggressive and hard-hitting or it can flow and be calm, just like a Scorpio can be. Scorpios need to let down their outer wall to reveal their softer and emotional inside.
9 Fail - Arania Exumai
This spell drives spiders away, and since spiders are so closely related to their arachnid brothers, the scorpions, Scorpios may have a harder time producing this spell when the time calls for it. Though this spell would totally come in use if a Scorpio ever wandered unknowingly into the Forbidden Forest, they would surely be out of luck when Aragog and his children arrived hungry in front of them.
8 Master - Bubble-Head Charm
The Bubble-Head Charm was used during the second trial in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by a couple of the contestants. This spell puts a large bubble of air around the mouth and nose of the user, allowing them to freely breath underwater.
This spell would be perfect for a Scorpio who wants to connect with their element and get away from the chaos of day to day life, just to be able to think and process their emotions.
7 Fail - Fiendfyre
Like Crabbe in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, this spell will be incredibly difficult for a Scorpio to master. This spell is already extremely hard to control, but due to the casters deep emotions, it may be even more difficult. This spell is deadly and already cursed. The fire takes shapes of a number of different animals as it hunts down its targets. But be careful Scorpios, it may change its head and make you its new target.
6 Master - Expelliarmus
Scorpios are naturally disarming with their passionate personalities. They are typically seductive and love authentic people. Because of their personalities, Expelliarmus would be just perfect for them. This spell is the disarming spell. It disarms the target from whatever they are holding in their hands and send the item flying. This spell, combined with the Scorpio's personality, will leave their target totally dazed and disarmed in more ways than one.
5 Fail - Revelio
Though Scorpios may want to know more about their loved ones, this spell is not the way to do so. Revelio is a spell used to reveal secrets about people or objects. They want the people they surround themselves with to be authentic, which may provoke them to use this spell, however, this spell just wouldn't do the trick around them especially considering Scorpios aren't totally authentic at first as well. Scorpios started by hiding behind a wall, a wall that needs to be broken down before they can really open up to the people in their lives. Using Revelio on a Scorpio would be too easy and the Scorpio would end up resenting the user, which would make the Scorpio not want to use the spell either.
4 Master - Legilimens
This charm is used to dive into the targets' memories for the caster to see. This charm would be perfect for a Scorpio since they occasionally have a difficult time understanding others' emotions and feelings. They could use this spell to get to the root of problems or see issues that they may have caused due to their brash attitude.
This spell is a bit intrusive, but given permission, this spell could help a Scorpio out in friendships and relationships to understand the person they care for deeper.
3 Fail - Engorgio
This spell is literally an engorgement spell to make items grow larger than they are. But when used incorrectly, this spell could become disastrous. Under a Scorpio, with their heightened emotions, this spell would probably be pretty dangerous. They would make things larger without thinking of the consequences of changing the item's physical state, like in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when Ron and Harry engorged the small flame into a raging fire before using the counterspell. It is a straightforward spell but with lasting effects.
2 Master - Unbreakable Vow
This charm is used when making promises the caster doesn't want to be broken, like a binding magical contract. If one of the two parties break the promise, that person dies immediately. This charm is used between Severus Snape and Narcissa Malfoy, the former promised the latter that he would protect her son and step up to kill Dumbledore if Draco could not. Scorpios may take a while to commit to a promise, but once they do it can be assured that they plan to keep them. A Scorpio will do everything in their power to keep their promises, meaning they will have no fears using the Unbreakable Vow.
1 Fail - Sectumsempra
This spell, as seen in the films as well, doesn't really have a good use. It is meant to hurt enemies, and it hurts them badly. Scorpios can be your greatest ally or your worst enemy, and if they are the latter, this spell may come across their mind to use time and time again. They wouldn't necessarily fail at this spell, but like Harry after using it against Draco, they may shy away from using it again due to its utter brutality.
