Which Knives Out Character Are You Based On Your Zodiac?

The 2019 film Knives Out is an incredible, intelligent murder mystery that has an old-fashioned flair. When renowned crime writer Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plumber) dies after his 85th birthday bash, the action kicks into high gear and the audience is left trying to guess which family member decided to end his life.

The many main characters in this thrilling film fit into the 12 different zodiac signs. These characters span all age ranges and bring up a lot of interesting ideas about how the wealthy really do live differently from everyone else. Which one best matches your star sign?

12 Aries: Jacob Thrombey

Donna and Walt Thrombey's son, Jacob (Jaeden Martell), is a bit of an unnerving character. He has some really strong political views that veer toward the alternative right.

This character would be an Aries, as these zodiac signs are passionate about what they believe in. It doesn't seem like Jacob can lie about his beliefs or thoughts, and he definitely doesn't want to hide them.

11 Taurus: Ransom Drysdale

Ransom Drysdale is really funny and this character, played by Chris Evans, turns out to be the movie's villain.

As the person who killed Harlan, Ransom is a super stubborn person who was angry that he didn't get the money that he felt he deserved. He saw only one way out of his predicament and nothing or no one would have been able to change his mind. Ransom definitely has the stubbornness of a Taurus.

10 Gemini: Detective Benoit Blanc

Daniel Craig's Knives Out character, Detective Benoit Blanc, is someone whom Gemini signs can relate to.

Geminis have an open and curious nature that makes them ask questions and educate themselves whenever they can. These are all the hallmarks of a good detective, and this character is a fascinating one.

9 Cancer: Walt Thrombey

Another great Knives Out character is Walt Thrombey (Michael Shannon) because he proves that the wealthy can fall pretty far.

Cancer signs have a tendency to manipulate others, be way too sensitive, and try to make things go their way. That's what Walt does, as he's been running his dad's publishing business and he hasn't done it very well, either. He expects everything to be given to him.

8 Leo: Joni Thrombey

Toni Collette is one of the best parts of Knives Out as she's someone who is trying desperately to seem fabulous and wealthy.

Joni has been mooching off Harlan since forever, and he realizes that she has actually been taking money from him that she wasn't supposed to. Leo signs will relate to this character as she's got a lot of boldness. She wants people to pay attention to and she doesn't want to live an ordinary life.

7 Virgo: Donna Thrombey

Donna Thrombey (Riki Lindhome) is married to Walt and she doesn't have much of a personality.

She's pretty timid and freaked out, which makes her relatable to Virgo signs, who tend to hang back when other people are talking or making plans. Donna doesn't stand out as much as the others in this movie.

6 Libra: Mrs. Cabrera

Marta's mom, Mrs. Cabrera (Marlene Forte), is definitely a Libra sign. She wants life to be more fair than it actually is, and she has raised Marta in a low-income household, trying to teach her right from wrong.

There is some tension between Marta and her mom as they haven't had an easy time of things. But her mom is a kind soul who is a sharp contrast to the wealthy family her daughter works for.

5 Scorpio: Linda Drysdale

Jamie Lee Curtis is known for horror films and she does a phenomenal job as Linda Drysdale in Knives Out, too.

She actually runs a business and makes some of her own money, which isn't the case with all of the people in this family. Linda is definitely a Scorpio as she's tough, passionate, and doesn't trust people. She's also easily envious of others.

4 Sagittarius: Marta Cabrera

Harlan's nurse, Marta (Ana de Armas), seems much more innocent than she actually is. Sagittarius signs will be able to relate to this character as she might act like she doesn't need much from life, but by the end of the movie, she's the owner of the Thrombey mansion and she's loving it.

Sagittarius signs are philosophical and they don't like to be tied down. Even though Marta was almost part of the family during her time working for Harlan, she never really wanted to be close to them. She has always done her own thing.

3 Capricorn: Harlan Thrombey

Harlan is a great character who has a smart sense of humor. He jokes around with his nurse, Marta, before his tragic death, and while he has given some money to his kids in the past, he doesn't think that they need to have everything handed to them.

Harlan is a successful and talented author of mystery books, so it's pretty incredible that he has found himself in the middle of this type of story. He has many traits of Capricorns such as being traditional, a family man, and in total charge of everything in his life.

2 Aquarius: Richard Drysdale

Knives Out has twists and turns and one compelling character is Richard Drysdale (Don Johnson). He is having an affair and Aquarius signs will find his dual nature relatable.

On the one hand, he seems like a devoted husband, but on the other, he's got no problem cheating on his wife. He often seems like he's thinking really hard about something, which is another Aquarius trait as these signs are careful and thoughtful.

1 Pisces: Meg Thrombey

Joni's daughter, Meg Thrombey (Katherine Langford), seems like the nicest and most considerate family member. She cares about Marta and she's not a big fan of how cold and calculated her relatives are.

Any Pisces will relate to Meg, as she seems to hate that she is part of this clan. She wants things to be fair and equal, and she doesn't believe that money brings happiness or status.
