Bachelor: Why Andi Dorfman Stayed Single After Juan Pablo & Josh Murray

Wondering why Andi Dorfman from The Bachelor hasn’t found her forever match? Andi is probably one of the most liked leads of The Bachelorette franchise. However, almost ten years after her first appearance on the show, she’s still single.

On tonight’s episode of The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons—Ever!, Bachelor Nation will be able to rewatch Juan Pablo Galavis’ drama-filled season. While fans are re-introduced to the controversial Venezuelan soccer player, they also will re-meet spunky Andi Dorfman. The Georgia native and former Assistant District Attorney made it to the fantasy suites on Juan Pablo’s season before exiting the show. Her and Juan Pablo’s breakup is one of the most memorable moments of the almost 20-year-long franchise. Who else remembers her iconic "it’s not okay" line? After saying goodbye to the arrogant Juan Pablo, Andi gained even more popularity by becoming the next Bachelorette. Fans then got to tune in to watch her fall for another Georgia native, Josh Murray. She ended her season engaged to the former baseball player, but the two called it quits after less than a year together. Why can’t Andi find her happily ever after? Turns out she’s doing just fine living the single life and pursuing her career.

Since her time on the show, Andi has kept busy as a best-selling author. She wrote two books about her love life. The first called back to her days on The Bachelor with the title It's Not Okay: Turning Heartbreak Into Happily Never After. Andi's introductory book revealed all the details about her broken engagement and her time on The Bachelor, while the second, entitled Single State of Mind, revealed juicy details about her single life in the Big Apple after her time on the show. Andi also revealed on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast with alums Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin that she is working on her third novel.

Andi recently moved from New York to the West Coast and is currently writing about the change. She said on the podcast, “The book is going to be a major departure from single girl having fun in the city, which we all know I did, into more of a serious vibe." She adds, "You have to be open to let the story come to you. You can’t force the story. You can’t force the life that you’re writing. You have to just live life and if it takes you five years, it takes you five. I really learned that with this third book. I had to take a deep breath and be like, 'You can’t force these stories. They will come eventually. When they do, they will be as raw and as genuine as possible.'"

It sounds like Andi Dorfman has embraced her unexpected single life and turned it into an opportunity. Her books have been best sellers and, without her heartbreaks, she wouldn’t be the successful writer she is today. It’s clear that this star has stayed single in order to pursue her career as a best-selling author. Who has time for men when you have books to write?
