Disney & Nickelodeon: 5 Couples That Could Work (& 5 That Would Be A Disaster)

Through the years, both Disney and Nickelodeon have given the world a variety of entertaining TV shows, movies, games, toys, and theme park attractions. And while most goofy Nickelodeon stories don’t focus on love stories like Disney’s princess flicks do, there are characters from both of these brands that have been in well-known and fan-favorite relationships.

What if the worlds collided, though? What if the characters from all of these series and films could date? What would that look like? Here are five Disney and Nickelodeon couples that could work, as well as five of them that would be a disaster.

10 Could Work: Debbie Thornberry & Flynn Ryder

Debbie Thornberry is the older sister on The Wild Thornberrys, and she has an edgy attitude and dresses in a grunge way. Flynn Ryder is the love interest in Tangled, and when he first met Rapunzel, he was a notorious thief who used his charming expressions and actions to help and get his way.

Since they are both a little rough around the edges, they can be pictured together. And even though they both act tough, they are actually total sweethearts, which would make for a fun and loving bond.

9 A Disaster: Vicky & Gaston

In The Fairly OddParents, Vicky babysits Timmy, and while his parents think she is so nice, she is actually evil. Therefore, she should not pair up with a Disney villain, because together, more chaos would ensure.

A great example is Gaston; he is interested in the ladies, and he may even be impressed by Vicky’s ruthless power. He is, after all, a not-very-nice-guy himself.

8 Could Work: Reggie Rocket & Aladdin

One of the main characters in Rocket Power is Reggie Rocket, a girl who can easily hang with the boys. Her tomboyish ways, sassy attitude, and athleticism all set her apart.

A Disney character who could end up in a relationship with her is Aladdin. Living on the street and flying around on a carpet has given him strength as well, and they would have a blast playing sports and racing each other with their respective modes of transportation.

7 A Disaster: Helga Pataki & Ron Stoppable

Helga Pataki is obsessed with the titular character of Hey Arnold!, but she has a funny way of showing it. She is another nickelodeon girl who can be loud, rude, obnoxious, and selfish.

On the other hand, there is Ron Stoppable, a funny, supportive, and friendly sidekick and pal from Kim Possible. As total opposites, these two would not work well together.

6 Could Work: Aang & Wendy Darling

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a Nickelodeon show, so up next is Aang. He has a childlike wonder and playfulness to him, but he can also go up against big, bad antagonists in a truly inspiring way. He also can fly, meaning he could be appealing to Wendy Darling from Peter Pan.

She is at that age where she feels responsible enough to take care of others (something she enjoys doing), but she is also still a kid who likes to use her imagination and fly, too. Wendy would love supporting Aang in his journeys, and The Avatar would love taking a break in Neverland.

5 A Disaster: Danny Phantom & Snow White

Danny Phantom is a human-ghost hybrid who must fight off supernatural powers, and Snow White is the first-ever Disney princess. So she has defining characteristics like the ability to draw forest creatures to her while singing, a picture-perfect ensemble, and an overall sweetness.

She has handled some tough moments in life, but she would surely not appreciate Danny’s lifestyle; it would stress her out, ultimately leading to a breakup.

4 Could Work: Skeeter Valentine & Alice

Mosquito Alumni "Skeeter" Valentine from Doug is a goofy guy with an eccentric vibe, so he can be imagined in a relationship with Alice.

Both of them seem to like the color blue, both of them seem to be in their own little worlds, and both of them are not afraid to be their true selves.

3 A Disaster: Chaz Finster & Pocahontas

Everyone knows Chuckie from Rugrats, and his father is Chaz Finster, a timid man. Due to his shy behavior and his fears in life, he could have a hard time dating someone like Pocahontas.

All Disney princesses are bold and brave, but Pocahontas is like this force. She explores and faces her fears and needs someone with a similar lifestyle and outlook.

2 Could Work: Ginger Foutley & T.J. Detweiler

As Told By Ginger centers around Ginger Foutley’s time at school, as she navigates popularity, schoolwork, and relationships. And Recess takes place at a school, too, where T.J. Detweiler is the leader of his friend group.

Both of these characters seem to have their heads on straight, as they think through their problems and always try and make the best decisions for themselves and their friends. They don’t always get it right, but they are learning—something they could do as a cute couple.

1 A Disaster: Korra & Prince Charming

Another character from Aang’s world, one became the next Avatar, is Korra. Like some of the others listed out here, she has a strong personality, she is fearless, she ends up in dangerous battles, and she never backs down.

So while a Disney character may dream of ending up with Prince Charming, this is not the type of guy from Korra.
