Rise of Skywalker: Every Sith Trooper Model In The Star Wars Movie

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker featured Sith troopers, part of the Sith Eternal’s army, as well as their subgroups – and here’s every one of them. The Star Wars saga began in 1977 with the film now known as Star Wars: A New Hope, which introduced viewers around the world to a galaxy far, far away, and the heroes and villains that live in it. This film, along with the sequels Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, form what’s known as the “original trilogy”. Years later, the Star Wars universe expanded with a prequel trilogy, which followed the life of Anakin Skywalker and his rise as Darth Vader.

Just when the Star Wars saga seemed to have reached its end, Disney began working on a new trilogy with the intention of closing the Skywalker saga and introducing a new generation of heroes and villains. Although the sequels did bring the Skywalker saga to an end, they weren’t the exciting return to the Star Wars universe fans were expecting, but at least they brought new characters, of which some had made their debuts on other media before appearing on the big screen. Such is the case of Sith troopers, who first appeared in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Star Wars Battlefront II, and the canon novels Resistance Heroes and First Order Villains before their proper debut on the saga in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Sith troopers were raised on Exegol by the Sith Eternal, and though they carried “Sith” on their names, they were not imbued with that power, but they took inspiration from their ancient legacy. Their red suits were reminiscent of the red blades of Sith lightsabers, thus evoking fear and death. Like any other army, there were subgroups within Sith troopers, each trained and equipped for different purposes – and here’s every Sith trooper that appeared in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Sith jet troopers were those specialized in aerial combat. During the Battle of Exegol, they were sent to fight against the Resistance, who eventually managed to break the Sith lines and destroyed the fleet. Sith jet troopers wore specialized armor with a NJP-900 integrated jetpack, which gave them more mobility, and F-11ABA heavy blaster cannons, which were very dangerous weapons that caused many deaths within the Resistance.

Sith trooper officers were trained for command and wore armors with advanced Sensor technology to help them gather information about the enemy – in this case, the Resistance. They were also part of the Battle of Exegol, but all their efforts weren’t enough.

Sovereign Protectors were the elite bodyguards of the Emperor after his return in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. They were considered the best soldiers in the army of Sith troopers and were stationed on Exegol, specifically in the throne room. The Sovereign Protectors stood out for wearing full-body red capes in addition to their armors, along with unique two-pronged blaster rifles. Although they obviously outnumbered Rey and Kylo Ren, these two managed to defeat them, either by themselves or through their combined forces.
