Stars can sometimes make fleeting appearances on shows, and the Real Housewives franchise is no exception. Three stars from some of the franchises most popular shows have only seen one season in the spotlight, and no one makes their exit without leaving behind some drama.
Beginning with The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2006, the franchise has only grown, following housewives in different areas: New York City, Atlanta, New Jersey, D.C., Beverly Hills, Miami, Potomac, Dallas, and Salt Lake City. The show has taken fans all over the states, delivering drama filled content one dynamic housewife at a time. But, there have been some that barely last a season.
This reality TV star jumped onto the Real Housewives of New York in its fourth season, attempting to replace the famed Bethenny Frankel. The 'Wax Queen of New York' saw her share of tainted relationships and fierce disagreements in her year. Initially getting off to a bad start with fellow housewife Ramona Singer, Barshop saw some issues from the start. Barshop was told by her brother that Singer allegedly offended his girlfriend, leaving Barshop to come to his defense. She tried to bring it up to Singer, who seemed less than concerned, only to try and confront Barshop's brother later, a confrontation which Barshop heard about and quickly shut down. She also had (and still has) some issues with Sonja Morgan. Morgan felt that Barshop betrayed her confidence on sensitive matters and sought to remind her of her place. She tried to extend an olive branch after the show, inviting Morgan to her vaginal rejuvenation spa, which she accepted. But, Barshop claims she 'ghosted', visiting another spa instead. Barshop has founded the VSpot Medi Spa, performing natural vaginal rejuvenation, and seeks to empower women in this way. She is also happily raising two beautiful children, one who she recently revealed is transgender.
The Real Housewives of the Potomac is among the newer shows of the franchise, but not everyone has stuck around. Katie Rost only lasted the first season, due to being fired for a storyline that didn't offer enough punch to the show. Although she did appear here and there throughout the show, she never quite popped up as a regular like she did before, and was startled when she wasn't invited for the season 4 reunion last year. Since the show, she has seen some struggles, having to break off an engagement with her boyfriend of five months, Jesse, last year. Sadly, she also suffered a miscarriage after the show. She's also had some custody battles with her ex-husband, Dr. James Orsini and, just after her stint on season one, ended her relationship with Andrew Martin. She may have enough drama and troubles in her own life, unable to squeeze in any more for television.
On the calmer side, this housewife was fired due to her being less than the classic theatrical breed that fuels the show. Snow said that the producers warned her that the drama was going to be scaled way up and they feared she wasn't a good fit for that direction. Apparently, during the reunion for the show, she didn't react in an outrageous way when she heard what some of the other ladies were saying about her. Snow was on the Real Housewives of Atlanta for season 1, starting out the show married to her husband, Eric Snow. Although, now they are divorced after 12 years of marriage. She has been involved in non-profits and enjoys spending time with her children, but her life is not drama free. In 2019, she was accused of fraud by a former client from her real-estate days (she was an agent for a while after she left the show). She denies all claims. Hopefully, this goes away, and her year continues with one less thing to worry about.
