10 Most Hilarious Superboy Memes Of All Time | ScreenRant

When it comes to peculiar members in the Superman family, Superboy is definitely one of the strangest. Superboy has been multiple characters over the years in DC mythology. Currently, the name is being used by Lois and Clark’s son Jon Kent. However, the title is most associated with Conner Kent, who is a clone made out of Superman and Lex Luthor’s DNA. Jon will soon be making his live-action debut on The CW as part of Superman & Lois and perhaps he’ll be the Arrowverse’s Superboy. Only time will tell what will happen with that iteration of Jon Kent.

Meanwhile, Conner is a main player on Titans as he was just introduced this past season. Despite the complicated history that Superboy has had in the comics, there is a passionate fanbase for the Boy of Steel. But given the convoluted backstory, fans have definitely, through memes and fan-art, been able to pick up on some pretty hilarious aspects with Superboy.

10 How The New 52 Messed Superboy Up

When The New 52 began, massive changes came to the DC Universe that got mixed reactions from readers, both old and new ones. Some characters were drastically changed, both how they were, their costumes, and even their long-time DC history. In the case of Conner Kent, he was one of the characters that, unfortunately, got New 52'd.

This meme is absolutely hilarious because it highlights the horrible truth about New 52's Superboy. From the lackluster costumes he wore to his incredibly problematic behavior, this version of the Boy of Steel was definitely easy to forget.

9 What The S Means To Superboy

Anyone who saw Man of Steel will recall that infamous moment between Superman and Lois when he explains what the S on his chest actually is. Rather than being the letter, it means hope back on Krypton. But for others, that House of El symbol might actually stand for something else in other cases.

Superboy is known for a lot of things and one of them is his temper that, in multiple iterations, has been a big part of the character. Even if Conner isn't a full-on Kryptonian, he could probably still claim to have the S mean that he has anger issues.

8 Magneto’s Superboy Preference

As mentioned earlier, Superboy has had a very complicated evolution in the DC lore ever since he was created. Initially, that name was Clark's first super-hero moniker before moving to Metropolis where he became Superman. Then there are characters like Conner and Jon Kent that have used the name. However, for some DC readers, their Superboy is none other than Superboy-Prime. Oddly enough, that Superboy is probably the one someone like Magneto would prefer.

7 Superboy’s Two Daddies

While cloning is normal in most fictional stories, the way Conner was created became a big deal in the DC Universe. With Superman and Lex being arch-rivals, the idea that they basically have a child together is maybe one of the funniest things to have ever happen. Imagine if there was a world where Lex and Clark were actually a couple and they still had Conner?

But in reality, Superman never knew that Conner had been created from his DNA, and depending on which version you read, Clark wasn't initially ready for someone like Superboy. Nevertheless, even if Conner can probably feel unwanted from time to time by Superman, at least the Man of Steel has always pulled through.

6 Super-Correcting

One of the few instances that media followed Clark as Superboy before becoming Superman was The Adventures of Superboy TV show back in the late '80s. The show ran for four seasons as it depicted Clark during his early years as a superhero. To be fair, though, it was pretty much a Superman show, but with just a different title. But if that Superboy ever tries to claim that he was Superman, he better think again.

5 DC’s Own Hulk

One of the running gags from the MCU is Tony Stark's iconic "We have a Hulk" one-liner to Loki in The Avengers. It's very likely that Marvel fans used that as a comeback line in real life after that film came out. But if DC had anyone that was as close to the Hulk as possible, it would honestly have to be Superboy.

Conner may not be green (probably not a color he would like anyway due to Kryptonite), but he definitely has a very similar temperament. If a crossover with Hulk and Superboy can ever happen, they should have a contest in who is the angriest superhero out of the two.

4 Superboy Vs World Of Warcraft

Anyone who has been on the Internet within the last two decades is well aware of the infamous video featuring a kid lashing out about his World of Warcraft account. Not a lot of DC characters have been depicted as gamers, which might be a good thing. However, it's so easy to picture Conner being one and how bizarre enough, he would be similar to that kid. If Clark suspended his account, Conner would, without a doubt, snap in a heartbeat.

3 Joaquin Phoenix’s DC Career

Joaquin Phoenix is best known to the DC fandom as one of the talented actors to have portrayed Batman's most famous villain, The Joker. His performance in the 2019 film earned him an Academy Award as the film explored the clown prince of crime's life. But many may not know that Phoenix's interaction wit the DC Universe began the late '80s. During a season 2 episode of The Adventures of Superboy, a young Phoenix guest-starred as Billy Hercules who ends up suiting up as Superboy temporarily.

2 The Father Superboy Should Be Ashamed Of

Having the DNA of Superman is probably one of the best things that can happen to anyone in the DC Universe. However, having the other half of your DNA belonging to one of the most villainous men in comics is probably not something to brag about. Conner probably doesn't have the greatest time whenever he has to reference who his "birth parents" are because if he mentions Superman, he has to bring up Lex too.

1 The One Thing Superboy Wanted

The Titans version of Conner Kent quickly became the best portrayal of Superboy in media. His first episode became one of the strongest ones in season 2 as it followed Conner after escaping Project Cadmus. This iteration was, interesting enough, maybe the most realistic version of Conner. Even if he looked like a grown teenager, mentally speaking, Conner was pretty much a baby.

This meme makes one of his biggest scenes a lot more fun as he had to learn that things cost money. Imagine if a price tag actually did manage to scare a baby. In an alternative version of that moment, Conner probably would have feared it.
