Did Nick Viall & Peta Do The Best Dancing with the Stars Rumba?

Did Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd do the best Dancing with the Stars Rumba? The Bachelor star was a newly engaged heartthrob whose presence on season 24 of DWTS sent viewers into a frenzy. Although his Rumba was a much-talked about dance that netted him and his partner a 30 out of 40 score, it was hardly the best in ballroom history. That distinction goes to Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy from season 20.

Viall's collaboration with Murgatroyd was a steamy number that hearkened back to his time on The Bachelor. The routine was choreographed with Viall dancing with multiple beautiful women in the beginning of the performance, only to be seduced by one in particular - his partner. Together, they completed the Rumba with a series of titillating undulations and Viall's shirt opening wide, exposing his heaving, manly chest.

The judges, as well as the audience, were blown away by the passion. Julianne Hough told team Viall"You looked very comfortable with a lot of women," adding, “I have to tell you this was your best dance.” Bruno Tonioli weighed in with his normal hyperbolic fervor, “I felt something new stirring inside you tonight … Much, much better.” Carrie Ann Inaba “thought the beginning was a bit rough [with the multiple female troupe members] … but once you became a two-person couple the dance became magical.” Finally, contrarian judge Len Goodman joked, “Now that I’ve seen you with your shirt off, we’ve got so much in common.”

Despite the warm reception Viall received for his Rumba, the best in the canon of DWTS would have to be Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy's passionate routine in season 20. She performed in a low-cut, gossamer, crimson halter dress to "Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps" by Doris Day. Willis surprised viewers with her grace and fluidity. She even received a higher score for her dance than Viall got for his, netting a perfect 40. Willis won her season, after a series of well-executed performances. The season 20 Rumba is still talked about and appreciated online by fans to this day for its sensual simplicity.

For some inexplicable reason, everyone gets all hot and bothered each time Nick Viall does anything. He sneezes, and it seems to put people under his spell. However, he may be a skilled lothario in the bedroom and throughout Los Angeles social circles, but Rumer Willis OWNS the Rumba. With her red dress and lithe legs curled around Chmerkovskiy, she proved that she inherited her mother Demi Moore's sex appeal and her dad Bruce Willis's bad-ass physical prowess. Viall need not worry, though. His Rumba on Dancing with the Stars will always elicit church giggles in good girls everywhere.
