Despite all the ups and downs in their relationship, Paul Staehle and Karine Martins were all-smiles on their three-year wedding anniversary. The 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? stars posted a photo celebrating the special occasion following months of back and forth on the state of their marriage.
Paul and Karine gained notoriety after sharing their long-distance love story on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days. The couple met online after Paul expressed disappointment following years of failed relationships. With Karine being a native to Brazil and Paul living in his hometown in Kentucky, their language barrier was a major source of stress on the show. Speaking through Google translation apps, Paul and Karine were already off to a rocky start. However, the couple continued to push through and got married in November 2017 before welcoming their son, Pierre, in March 2019. But by July 2020, the couple were at odds again after Paul claimed his wife and son were "missing" following a fight.
Following a brief split and restraining orders being dropped, the couple came together to celebrate three years of marriage. “Happy 3 Year Wedding Anniversary," Paul captioned an Instagram photo slide of wedding day pics. "It's been one hell of a roller coaster ride," he said. He later shared a photo sitting around a restaurant table with Karine's family with the caption, "Familia Brasileira." The anniversary pics come a few days after the TLC stars shared family Halloween photos together with their son. It looks like Paul and Karine want their fans to know that all is well in the Staehle household. See the anniversary post for yourself below:
In July, Paul claimed, “Karine took off with Pierre and I don’t know where they are,” in an Instagram Story video. He went on to reveal that his wife filed a “full restraining order” against him, which he responded to with a restraining order of his own. At the time, Karine told her followers that she was not missing. “I want you all to know that me and Pierre are doing well now,” she wrote in her Instagram Story. “All this past days I had a lot going on. I had issues where the police was called because I feared for my life and my son’s life which led me to ask for help and ultimately be rescued from an environment that no longer was healthy for none of us involved in the situation.”
In September, both restraining orders were dropped and the couple appears to be slowly working to keep their house a happy home.
