Bachelorette: Tayshia Adams' Age, Dating History, Job, Schooling & More

Tayshia Adams, who is about to replace Clare Crawley as The Bachelorette, had an interesting life before she joined Bachelor Nation.

Fans first met Tayshia when she competed on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor. She made it all the way to the final three before being sent home after Colton realized he was in love with Cassie Randolph. Later that summer, Tayshia appeared on Bachelor In Paradise, where she and John Paul Jones had a small fling. The couple broke up before the show ended, but got back together on the reunion. Then, they broke up again a couple of months later, but remained friends. Now, Tayshia is about to embark on her journey to find true love as the second lead of The Bachelorette season 16.

Tayshia Adams is 30 years old. She was born on September 4, 1990 in Newport Beach, California to her parents, Rosario and Desmond Adams (via Distractify). Tayshia attended college at Concordia University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Medical Science in 2012. Once she received her degree, Tayshia began working as a phlebotomist, a person who draws blood from patients for purposes such as research, testing, and donations. The 30 year old has also worked as a fitness instructor at places such as SoulCycle. After appearing on the show, Tayshia decided to stop working in medicine and turned her attention towards a new passion in something related to real estate, development, interior design, and architecture. She has also done some promotional posts for companies via her Instagram.

As for her dating life, Tayshia has quite the list of men she was once serious with. Back in February 2016, the reality star married her college sweetheart, Josh Bourelle (via Cosmopolitan). The couple was married for a very short period of time, and Josh filed for divorce just over a year later in October 2017. Tayshia claimed on an episode of the podcast The Viall Files that she was forced to move on from the relationship, seeing as he was unfaithful to her while they were together. Not too long after the divorce was finalized, Tayshia moved on with model Chase Olswang. She dated him until fall 2018, when she left to film Colton's season of The Bachelor. Tayshia and Colton dated while on the show, but she was sent home during fantasy suite week. After her stint on The Bachelor, she went on BIP, where she actually dated two men: John Paul Jones and Derek Peth. While Tayshia and JPJ seemed to be going strong, she wanted to try things with Derek, which turned into an all-out battle between the two men. Tayshia ultimately chose JPJ, but that relationship fizzled out by October 2019.

Now, Tayshia's potential love story is about to unfold on our TV screens in the upcoming episode of The Bachelorette. Here's to hoping Tayshia is done with dating and will hopefully meet the man of her dreams.
