Big Brother 22: Nicole Franzel Reveals Workout & Diet Before Going On Show

Nicole Franzel started a comprehensive workout and diet plan in preparation to compete on Big Brother 22: All-Stars. When she first competed on BB16, Nicole wasn't necessarily a very athletic person. She assumedly helped out her parents on their farm in Michigan, but she was just a young college student with an average body. Still, she did pretty well in the competitions, despite competing against comp beasts like Cody Calafiore, Caleb Reynolds, and Frankie Grande. On BB18, Nicole was clearly more athletic than before. All things considered, Nicole's glow-up between seasons 16 and 18 was very significant and simply undeniable.

As the story goes, CBS kept postponing Big Brother 22 for many weeks due to concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic. That is the reason why the season started in August rather than having the usual June/July premiere date. This meant that the returning houseguests who were invited to join the cast had more time than ever before to prepare to go on the show. In turn, this also means that their period in sequester - which is when they go into confinement but are still waiting to find out if they are indeed going to make the cut and be on the season - was much longer than the usual.

In a recent episode of the Coco Caliente podcast, which is co-hosted by Nicole Franzel and her fiancé and BB18 co-star Victor Arroyo, Nicole opened up about all the physical preparation that she did before going on Big Brother: All-Stars. She mentioned training her physical endurance the most and trying to lose some weight. To do so, she signed up for a meal delivery service that saved her some time in the kitchen and also limited the food that she was eating to just healthy items. When it comes to exercising, Nicole stated that she did 90 days of the Insanity workout program and was getting to a point where she'd run six miles without even being out of breath.

Victor Arroyo co-signed on everything that Nicole Franzel said about her preparation for BB22. On the podcast, Victor even said: "Nicole was in the best shape that I've ever seen her." Nicole said that she didn't focus on bulking up or looking any sort of way, but that her focus was on building up her endurance for the physical competitions that she was going to face on the show. Unfortunately, it seems like Nicole's strict regimen didn't work out when she actually went into sequester. The production team moved her to a house, where she lived with a caretaker. Nicole said that she basically didn't exercise at all during those 14 days that she was in sequester, and she wasn't eating as healthy as she was before, either. She instead took the time to study every season of Big Brother.

Nicole might've not won as many competitions on Big Brother 22: All-Stars as she did in seasons past, but she was certainly always competitive throughout the show. There's no doubt that Nicole went into BB22 with her body and mind fully ready.
