Royal and Angenette Everett are the newest additions to The Family Chantel. Royal is the older brother of the show's star, Chantel Everett. Though he didn't appear in season one, he and his wife Angenette have stolen the show in season two.
Much like his sister Chantel, Royal and Angenette started dating long-distance after meeting online. He was living in Texas finishing up school when he met the Philippines native and fell in love. The two got married after Angenette arrived in the US on a K-1 visa. Royal later expressed his doubts about his wife's faithfulness, and even accused her of getting pregnant by someone else. Their trust issues came to the surface after the couple, unfortunately, suffered a miscarriage. It was then that Royal let her know he wasn't sure if he was the father of their baby. During the family's trip to the Philippines for their second wedding, Chantel told Angenette all about the claims Royal made against her, including that she had talked to other American men. Angenette followed it up by revealing the tracker she placed on Royal's phone due to her suspicions about his activity.
So what's Angenette's back story? The 23-year-old is from Cagayan Valley, Phillippines, and lived there up until she relocated to the U.S., In Touch Weekly reports. She and Royal met after she sent him a friend request on Facebook, and they got engaged after just one trip to her native country. Shortly after proposing, Royal filed for a K-1 visa for her to legally enter the States as the fiancé of a U.S. citizen. Like Chantel and Pedro Jimeno, the couple had 90 days to decide to get married, but they did it just one week after Angenette’s arrival. It's something even Pedro felt was rushed, and he noted how short the amount of time was before they eloped, as compared to the two years he and Chantel dated before marrying.
After their miscarriage, Angenette opened up about the lack of trust Royal had in the situation. “I have a miscarriage. We went to the hospital, and then we found out that maybe I am two weeks pregnant,” Angenette told producers. “And then he doubted it. He said that maybe I hook up [with] another guy in the Phillippines before I went here [sic].”
But, the couple's drama isn't anything new for the family. Fans are well aware of the drama Chantel and Pedro dealt with when they decided to get married. The tension has led to two seasons' worth of theatrics on their 90 Day Fiance spin-off series.
