It’s not the first time 90 Day Fiancé has featured an American man falling for a Ukrainian woman, and for fans, Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya's relationship has promise. With Jovi’s non-committal ways established in the season eight promo, his future with Yara looked as bad as David Murphey's with Lana. Then, Yara made things worse by claiming she didn’t know what she loved about Jovi. However, with rumors of them being married going around, here are the clues that suggest Jovi and Yara are still happy and together.
Newbie 90 Day Fiancé couple Jovi, 30, and Yara, 25, and their millennial relationship is the perfect recipe for disaster. Laid-back Jovi met Yara out of sheer holiday loneliness and went on a date expecting nothing more than a hook-up. But one glass of wine led to another and Jovi and Yara started talking and traveling for six months. After various trips with the underwater robotics expert, giving his Instagram followers major travel envy, Jovi and Yara were finally faced with a dilemma. Yara was expecting their baby, which initially caused Jovi to think she was after a Green Card. But a scuba diving proposal followed, only for things to end with an unfortunate miscarriage. Pushing his cold feet and trust issues aside, Jovi welcomed Yara into America on his first 90 Day Fiancé episode. But with the TLC show teasing fans with Yara saying “I’m finished” in the season eight trailer and having issues with Jovi’s beer and Bayou attitude, have they managed to sail through?
The first clue of 90 Day Fiancé’s Yara and Jovi still being together comes via blogger John Yates, who shared a screenshot of what looks like a marriage license. The official document displays “Jovi John Dufren” and “Yaroslava Zalohina” and the date of marriage as February 13, 2020. Thus, it can be assumed that Yara and Jovi’s bickering through 90 Day Fiancé season eight eventually ends with them walking down the aisle.
In addition, Jovi’s Instagram proudly shows off his Ukrainian wifey, starting off with this post from April 2018 of the couple in Greece. A comment on the picture from Jovi’s friend reads, “Goes to work….comes home with a wife.” A series of happy pictures with Yara are peppered throughout the 90 Day Fiancé star Jovi’s IG feed, including one from last Christmas, which must have been when Yara landed in the States. A fan’s comment says, “Congratulations on your love and peace. It takes courage and bravado to share your vulnerabilities with the world." Meanwhile, 90 Day Fiancé’s Yara doesn’t shy away from saying the sweetest things about her co-star and boyfriend Jovi in her Instagram photos, including one where she calls him “best man in the world.” A post from February shows Yara in Las Vegas, and one from August this year has Jovi joking in the comments by asking, “Dayummmm. Are you single?” To this cheeky comment, a friend of the 90 Day Fiancé couple replied with something along the lines of, “No my brother, she married my boy," in Russian. While it can’t be said if Jovi is still with Yara back home, or off on one of his seafaring adventures, the reality TV pair have certainly reached their destination. But exactly what roadblocks Jovi and Yara were met with on their trip, only TLC knows!
