The whirlwind romance of Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee came crashing down in the season finale of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. While the couple did have a shaky start from their first episode, fans felt an ounce of relief when they saw Deavan walk down the aisle (again) with Jihoon. But was it really the COVID-19 pandemic that caused the TLC twosome to part ways? As 90 Day Fiancé left Deavan and Jihoon’s scandalous saga in limbo, many more shocking secrets have been revealed off-screen. Here’s a look at what happened to Deavan and Jihoon after the curtain call of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.
Season one couple Deavan and Jihoon resumed their love story, or the lack of it, in season two. The Utah native flew back to South Korea to settle down for good. But as it turned out, Jihoon lied about his savings and his high-paying job, and the trust issues escalated between him and Deavan. The TLC pair fought endlessly over a translation device, as Deavan demanded responsibility from Jihoon, who in turn asked for understanding. But just as Jihoon emptied his pockets to prove he did have $3k with him and finally moved the family into an apartment Elicia approved off, Drascilla ran off into traffic, creating the couple’s biggest controversy (at that time). 90 Day Fiancé fans saw Jihoon promising to mend his ways again as Deavan accused him of cheating. But soon enough, Deavan married her Korean husband in her dream (almost) wedding ceremony. However, the coronavirus pandemic cracked their broken relationship, with Jihoon’s video game obsession apparently ticking Deavan off. A few months later, Deavan flew out of South Korea and Jihoon’s life, promising to return in a month, which she obviously never did.
While the show may have tackled the Deavan-Jihoon drama in a gentler way, fans of the couple on Instagram have been witnessing a war of words between the 90 Day Fiancé couple since August. When Deavan was spotted back in America in May, way before the reality show’s premiere in June, fans noticed something amiss. The model kept insisting Jihoon was back in Korea for work, while her children were safer in America from the pandemic, but it didn’t take Deavan long to introduce a new man to her Insta feed. The explosive news of Jihoon and Deavan’s break-up created a stir in the 90 Day Fiancé fan community. What followed was a constant slew of accusations Deavan and Jihoon threw at one another. As Jihoon cried for a chance to see Taeyang, Deavan accused him of allegedly abusing her daughter Drascilla. As predicted by anyone watching, this 90 Day Fiancé tale did not see it’s happy ending.
Currently, Jihoon has started a new YouTube channel where he shows his comedic chops, as he also juggles a part-time food delivery job. But the Korean man has also been improving his appearance and showing it off on IG by getting tattoed eyebrows, a nose job, and cheek fillers to prove to Deavan that he isn’t a nobody after all. Meanwhile, Deavan is using her reality TV fame to promote her OnlyFans account, where she asks her subscribers to fund her boob job. When not posting beautifully edited pictures of herself on Instagram, Deavan is wearing matching rings with Topher as they tell their story via YouTube videos and Instagram lives. Rumors about the 90 Day Fiancé star’s pregnancy and marriage also keep circulating, as she apparently still awaits her divorce from Jihoon.
This 90 Day Fiancé relationship that TLC decided to leave on a cliffhanger has not managed to work out. Both Deavan and Jihoon have also, as rumors suggest, been asked to stay away from the season two reunion Tell-All, which means the finale was the last time fans ever saw them together on screen. But while with his new look Jihoon may become the next K-Drama star, Deavan might just be starring in her own docuseries with Topher soon.
