This fan is clearly looking forward to the prospect of playing as V, the game's outlaw mercenary protagonist, on their new and stylish custom Xbox Series X.
Since the project was first announced back in 2012, the road to this week's release date for CD Projekt Red's futuristic RPG has been a long one. Dedicated fans are desperate to get their hands on the game after an erratic year, which involved multiple delays and reports that the Polish developer even forced employees to work crunch hours to meet its upcoming December 10 deadline. Since their release last month, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles have been undergoing some major customization work by new owners. This custom Cyberpunk 2077 console is the latest example of a video game being personified in the brand-new generation of consoles.
Redditor Santiago-Cruz has revealed pictures of the custom Xbox product, showing the incredible level of intricacy behind creating such an impressive design. The unique console includes a yellow and black background and engravings that weave in and around a 3-D plate of the game's logo. Every detail is meticulously accounted for. There has always been hype surrounding Cyberpunk 2077, and now that the release is less than a week away, this fan-made custom Xbox Series X took r/XboxOne and other subreddits by storm.
In fact, the fan-made custom job is so good that it is not unreasonable to surmise that it looks even better than Xbox's own official Cyberpunk 2077 bundle. The limited-edition bundle was available to purchase back in June, including a custom Xbox wireless controller inspired by one of the game's biggest characters: Johnny Silverhand. While Microsoft's Xbox One X is impressive with its cybernetic design and multicolored panels, the sleek customization of the Reddit user's Xbox Series X is in a league of its own.
The console is so impressive that it is comparable to an official Cyberpunk 2077 themed bundle, such as the Microsoft one. In a fortuitous move for players who enjoy putting in the effort to customize their consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series X are both fairly straightforward when it comes to customization for those who know they're doing and have the necessary tools. Thanks to removable faceplates on the PS5 and controller, Sony's newest console is slightly easier for fans to customize compared to its Xbox competitor. However, these pictures indicate there are plenty of Xbox Series X players who are keeping up.
