After being around for more than a decade and consisting of 23 movies (and now television shows) the Marvel Cinematic Universe has quickly become one of the largest franchises in history and has no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Over the course of this franchise's meteoric rise, they have introduced audiences to live-action versions of the long-running Marvel heroes, all of them equipped with their own special power and unique personality. With so many movies and characters, it can be hard for fans to pick their favorite - but if you can, whichever one you choose might say more about you than you know.
17 Falcon
Introduced during The Winter Soldier, Falcon started as a minor character who immediately answered Captain America's call when it came. After helping Cap track down Bucky, he even took one for the team and got himself captured so that Steve could escape. So, if Falcon is your favorite hero, you might be a person who is unquestionably loyal to your mentor - enough so that you might take over for them one day.
16 Hawkeye
Hawkeye was revealed to not only be a master-marksmen but also a loving father/husband - so much so that he nearly turned into a villain when Thanos snapped them away. As a result, Clint was willing to sacrifice himself (when testing the time-machine and jumping off the mountain at Vormir). So, if Hawkeye is your favorite hero, perhaps you're a person who is willing to sacrifice literally anything for the people you love.
15 War Machine
War Machine might not be among the most popular heroes in the MCU, but that doesn't negate his many admirable qualities, such as when he gave Tony some "tough-love" in Iron Man 2 and how he continued to stand behind Tony about the Sokovia Accords after his accident. So, if War Machine is your favorite hero, you might be a person who doesn't let emotion get in the way of logic, while still acknowledging your emotions as relevant.
14 Captain Marvel
One of the most recently introduced, Captain Marvel has quickly made a name as one of the most powerful beings in the entire universe and is set to take over as a lead role in the MCU. So, if Captain Marvel is your favorite hero, perhaps you're a person who is (or can appreciate) a prodigy and are fully capable of slipping into a leadership role with a little hands-on training.
13 The Wasp
Introduced in Ant-Man and The Wasp, this hero can't shy away from the fact that her base power is initially the same as her counterpart - that said, her addition of wings and blasters makes her way more bad-ass.
So, if your favorite hero is The Wasp, you might be a person who is good at imitating other people around you... and then improving upon it with your own unique flair.
12 Ant-Man
The partner to The Wasp, Ant-Man was the original whose powers seemed simple at first (shrinking) but upon proper execution turned into a masterful weapon. So, if Ant-Man is your favorite hero, you might be a person who isn't fully appreciated at first glance and requires a little bit of effort and demonstration in order to get people to come around to your side.
11 Guardians of the Galaxy
Arguably the biggest wildcard (at least at the time of its release) in the MCU is the lovable group of misfit scavengers known as the Guardians of the Galaxy, spending their time in the MCU traversing the (you guessed it) galaxy and stopping evil wherever they see it (as long as they're well paid). So, if your favorite heroes are the GotG, you might be a person who understands that your efforts shouldn't be free and you should be properly compensated for excellent work.
10 Black Widow
Is it ever gonna come out? While fans still mourn the death of Black Widow, they just as eagerly await the release of her solo movie, anxiously waiting to see more of the spy who can hold her own against some of the strongest beings in the universe. So, if you're one of these fans who can't wait to see more of his hero, perhaps you're a person who is considered an underdog yet are just as proficient as everybody else around you.
9 Black Panther
Black Panther, the character that Chadwick Boseman embodied, became an immediate play-maker in the MCU as not only the King of Wakanda, but also one of the most physically formidable heroes the universe had. So, if Black Panther is your favorite hero, it's probable you're a person who appreciates true greatness even when it arrives seemingly out of nowhere.
8 Vision
The new television show aside, Vision was a truly worthy addition to the Avengers after Tony and Bruce (and Jarvis) created him, proving so when he sacrificed his own life in order to stop Thanos from getting the Mind Stone. So, if Vision is your favorite hero, you could be a person who (despite your immense power) would be willing to give it all up in order to protect your loved ones.
7 Scarlet Witch
Again, no spoilers for the new show, but Scarlet Witch has been through quite a bit during her time in the MCU as she lost her parents, her brother, and then the love of her life (despite being one of the most powerful beings in the universe).
So, if Scarlet Witch is your favorite hero, you might be a person who has had to deal with much heartache and struggle - mainly because you're strong enough too.
6 Doctor Strange
The master of the mystic arts and the wielder of the Time Stone could make a case for being the most powerful being in the MCU and has already helped defeat major villains such as Dormammu and Thanos. So, if Doctor Strange is your favorite hero, you could potentially be a master of mysticism and deception yourself.
5 Spider-Man
Known as a fan-favorite, the young web-slinger is an admirable addition to the Avengers despite his young age, but he's also one of the smartest people on Earth regardless of the powers that he picked up from a radioactive spider. So, if Peter Parker is your favorite hero, you might be a person who likes keeping their feet on the ground... but you might need to occasionally soar in order to truly spread your wings.
4 Hulk
As one of the original members of the Avengers, the jolly green giant gets all the love he's due, thanks to the character arc of going from a rampaging monster into an intellectual juggernaut. So, if Hulk is your favorite character, maybe you're a person who knows what it's like going through anger issues and coming out the other side a better person.
3 Thor
The God of Thunder has had a lot of high moments and a lot of even lower ones, such as having to initiate Ragnarok and give up Asgard in order to protect his people from Hela's wrath. So, if Thor is your favorite hero, you could be a person who has had a lot of family-issues yet ultimately realizes that you are a strong and capable person with or without them.
2 Captain America
There was never a man as selfless and moral as Captain America, constantly putting the lives and well-being of others before his own and doing absolutely anything necessary to save as many people as he could, knowing full well it would never be all of them. So, if Cap is your favorite hero, perhaps you're a person who realizes that even if the battle is ultimately a losing effort, it still needs to be fought.
1 Iron Man
The hero who gave the ultimate sacrifice also had the greatest story-arc in the entire MCU, going from a selfish weapons inventor to the world's greatest defender. So, if Iron Man is the hero that you love 3000, then perhaps you're a person who understands what it means to truly change for the better... and then possibly have to give it all up in order to prove it.
